grantfund located at 2850 horizon ridge parkway henderson, nevada 89052. promises stimulus grant information cd for $1.98. i ordered it and immediately started to get phone calls about other services they offer which i very clearly declined. i also told the person to cancel the cd. i then went online and sent an email canceling the cd. i am now getting charges for services i DID NOT agree to. $69.95 from grantfund and $29.95 from another company that i never heard of: iwbclub located at 5940 south rainbow boulevard las vegas, nevada 89118. when i called both companies, they talked over me and would not let me speak. they both refused to transfer me to a supervisor. i called the credit card company and reported the charges and disputed the charges. i have been forced to cancel the account to avoid further bogus charges.

i am going to file class action lawsuits against both companies. i am sure there are countless people who have been taken advantage of in this scam.

YOU CAN'T SUE A SCAM - every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.

Yes SCAM - They are already breaking the law
a lawsuit will not scare them!

most were created in Nov 08 - to steal your money.

Its the same scam that already has hundreds of complaints posted on ROR alone, not to mention other complaint boads

Do an internet search on GRANT SCAMS -

this I got this info from another complaint board called consumeraffairs - they have a newsletter they send out too.

The "free money" scam has been around almost as long as the human species.

It has more variations than a bulldog has wrinkles but you can count on one thing: the government (any government) does not simply give money away to individuals.

Anyone who tells you differently has larceny in his heart. If you give him your bank account number, he will soon have your funds in his pocket.

It does no good to list all of the names used by these bunko artists because a.) they change all the time and b.) every single free-money government-grant offer is a scam. Period.
