I received this email from Rachel Novak at Gravity Works, supposedly located in Scottsdale, Arizona:

Work Options & Details

We offer both full-time, and part-time shifts: the difference is in the number of hours you work weekly. Relocation or travel is not required, as this role is performed out of your home. Part-time shifts are 9am-12pm your time, with a total of 20 work hours per week. Full-time shifts are 9am-5pm your time, with an additional lunch hour and a total of 40 work hours per week. You will be working Monday to Friday only; we are usually closed on weekends and US federal holidays. Your performance will be tracked online at our corporate web server, which you will be able access over the Internet.

You won't be required to buy any additional software or equipment: all you need for work is a PC/Mac with a stable Internet connection and a working cell phone or a landline. All new Account Managers are assigned to a supervisor, who provides overall support and additional information on daily routine. We will also provide you with free training materials and a free short training period, which will take 1-2 days.

Position Duties

Account Manager's duties do NOT include direct sales, active search for new customers, cold calling or advertising. Your main functions will be the following:

- Representing the company to new and existing customers;
- Serving as a main contact point between the customers and inner company departments;
- Reporting and monitoring customer requests, updating customers on their status;
- Obtaining additional information and/or materials from the customers;
- Keeping track of project records, submitting regular progress reports.

Daily Routine

Your typical day will start with logging into our corporate web server: there you will be able to contact your team members and supervisor, check on new messages and assignments. Usually assignments are about searching for the dates and agenda of coming industry events, reviewing the documentation of selected contracts, confirming and processing payments on your orders, etc. At the end of the day you send a report on the completed tasks to your supervisor, inform him/her on your progress and log off.

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a base salary of $2,800 per month for full-time employees and $1,400 for part-time employees. Paycheck is delivered every 2 weeks since the official start date. Plus there also is a system of incentive bonuses based on the number of projects you take for support, as well as on your evaluation score based on the customer feedback. Usually you receive 3-5% of the total cost of supported projects as a bonus, if the customers are satisfied with your service and you make no crucial mistakes that could result in delays with delivering the ordered services. Since the taxes will be deducted from your salary, you will need to fill out a W-4 form, which will be included into the employment package. After the first 6 months of work, you will be eligible for a 3-week vacation and our 401k and health insurance programs.

My red flags went up and I looked into this company and their "opportunity:"

A Google search shows that Gravity Works is a structural engineering company in Scottsdale, Arizona with two employees, not a graphic design company.  

A search on BBB.org shows that they are NOT a member. 

A look at her email address leads to discovering that there is no website at www.gravityworksgroup.com.  I received a 404 error message - page not found.

A quick search discovers that "www.gravityworksgroup.com" was registered on 9/28/12.  That was five days ago.  She says her company was founded in 2008.  

A call to her telephone goes to a very amateur voicemail message, not a company switchboard.

Clearly, if you send in the completed "employment packet" with a W-4, they will have your Social Security Number.

Also, I suspect that downloading that "employment packet" may be a bad idea, since it could contain a virus or "bot" that will find your personal information and send it to them.
