Great Atlantic Warranty Ripped me off w/ $550.00 stating that i would have coverage for up to 8 yrs. It comes out to be that i have no warranty and out $550.00. I want my money back ASAP. Boca Raton Florida

I recieved numerous calls from this company to get a warranty for my truck. After so many attempts i finally agreed to get a warranty for my vehicle which would protect it for repairs and so forth. I went ahead and provided a woman w/ my credit card information in January of 2008. She stated i would recieve a letter in the mail well i did on January 20, 2008 it had my name and address with my vehicle registration # the down pymt that i gave which was $550.00 and also gave me a remaining balance of $2,050.00 for a remaining payments of 12 mths with monthy pymts of $125.00. The representative that i also spoke with said that after i recieved my warranty information that i needed to wait 60 days to be able to do an oil change on my vehicle and also sent me a package in that package they also sent me a liqiud container that i needed to add to my vehicle like a coolant type.

Now it's April and i've still been recieving messages from this company that my monthly pymts and nept codes aren't going through w/ my bank for continous pymts of $125.00 that need to be taken out monthly my son recieved a message on his phone from a woman called gale @ the 1-888-858-8448 ext 253. I've tried to call this # to see what is happening w/ my warranty and with what i've already paid but i've had no luck at all, and now they have my CC# and my bank account information as well. All i want is this resolved and my $ back.

This message goes back to the Great Atlantic Warranty issue. This has nothing to do with my Bank or Credit Card for that matter and maybe this Gale person is the one that didn't leave a good extension #. So that has to do with the employees at Great Atlantic Warranty giving false information. As a matter of fact about a month ago I spoke to a man called Marty @ ext # 2705. I let him know that i wanted this warranty cancelled and my $$$$$ back. I'm still waiting for that. So don't come and tell me that my bank is the one w/ the problem it's u're company, because all u people do is get customers to fall for this warranty so u can swrew us all off.

Not only that but u have a company called Mepco recieving and dealing with u're problems. I even spoke to them and said they have nothing to do w/ u guys that they just receive orders from u guys. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS..... ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I am a Customer Service Representative at Great Atlantic Warranty. For the purpose of this forum please address me as GAWHelpguy.

I believe the problem you are experiencing is with your bank and not with Great Atlantic. You received your warranty documentation as well as the supplements to add to your vehicle. I noticed that the extension you listed for Gale was not correct and could be the reason you couldn't get in touch with her. The correct extension is 2538.

The issue seems to be that the bank is not forwarding payment when it is requested. It could be it a mis-typed account number or some other bank-related reason. If you contact us at GreatAtlanticHelpDesk0408@live.com and provide your last name and other contact information, I will work to find a solution to our problem.
