I purchased a Jacuzzi in 2006. After giving Great Escapes my money and signing a financial contract it took over 6 weeks to deliver my product. That was not the agreement. Finally it's in and functional. The cover on the filters is not connected. The hooks are broken. They said I could just glue them back on. Amusing. I spend $8,000.00 to glue parts together.

Less than a year after my purchase I open my Jacuzzi in the spring after properly winterizing it and it's leaking really bad. I'm loving 2 - 3 inches of water per day. So now I'm paying a higher water bill. It takes almost two weeks to tell me that they can't come and fix it for three more weeks. So I am without the use of a product that I paid good money for less than a year ago.

Service suggested that I could still use it just keep refilling it. Service is not paying my water bill! Finally 3 and a half weeks after the service call to see they come out to actually service my Jacuzzi and replace a CD player with a radio that does not work.

There service center is not service at all and service is not what they provided. It took about an hour and a half for them to do something that I had to wait over 45 days for. It would only take a couple of minutes to replace my CD player but of course, it's obvious that their African American clientel is constantly placed on the bottom of the list. It's going to take another two weeks to replace something that they took out in less than five minutes, and replaced in the same amount of time.

To add insult to injury the pumps on one side of the Jacuzzi do not work at all...no pressure no power. So like the lemon cars I'd bet that Great Escapes is still selling products that have been returned and or are still in disrepair. I have one of them and I am extremely disappointed with the product, the service and the people. I'd really like for them to pick this crap up and retune $8,000.00. I could always find another place to spend money.

Final note, the sales person is incredibly friendly when he's making the sale "Andy Pellet". He did advise me after I made numerous calls to report a problem with my system that he does not have the kind of relationship with his CUSTOMERS, that he feels he should call them back when they have problems. He called quite a bit when I was purchasing my equipment. In fact he returned ever call and was just like a good buddy.

There's a word for people like Andy Pellet but being a person with spiriutal values I won't write it. I would suggest that people shop anywhere other than Great Escapes. ANYWHERE.

Last March we bought a above ground pool. Free installation the sale was. We also added the fence (to go around the top) and paid extra for the excavating. We picked everything up and scheduled with Great Escape the installation. They stated that the installers are subcontracted and we have to verify with them on the dates. OK No problem. We get everything confirmed. Date came and gone and no pool. Finally after 3 weeks past the scheduled date they show up. They work for about 30 mins and are gone. Nothing was done. I called the guy's cell phone and he states they ran into problems and would be back tomorrow. Ok no problem. We're understanding. Things happen.

I decided to go home from work to check on these guys. I noticed a "Great Escape" van. I go around back and there are 2 guys working on setting up the sides of the pool. The lead guy Chad I believe was his name was so rude. He needed to borrow tools and I didn't have a key to my husbands tool box and he flipped out. These guys never worked more then an hour each time they came out. Come to find out these guys were not subcontractors. They actually do work at Great Escape.

Finally after about 3 weeks pool is filling up. Then we noticed that the seams are leaking water. Call him back and he thinks he come back in a couple of days. He finally shows up and he fixes it. We decided to do the fence part ourselves. We watched the video and it really seemed easy. It was BUT we were missing a section and a half. We called Great Escape and the owner, fat bald new york accent italian, did not believe us. I said why not? I've put together this whole thing and we dont have enough parts to finish. He starts cussing and yelling at me. I get my husband on the phone with him and the owner says fine send her down and I'll give her the stuff your missing. No cussing or yelling at my husband of course.

I leave right then drive to Great Escape and I ask to speak to the owner and he wouldn't come out. I'm waiting for over 20 mins at the back dock and finally this sales person comes up and asks what can he do to help me. I told him and he goes and talks to the owner who was about 75 to 100 ft from me. The owner says there's no way they are missing parts. The salesman comes back and I told him what I needed. Again he goes back to the owner. After it seemed like some arguing between the owner and this salesperson the owner says quite loudly Give the F***ing B**ch what she wants and waves his hand off in my direction. I couldn't believe it. I called my husband immediately.

Right when I was leaving to go to the authorities the salesman gives me the stuff we were missing and I got the heck out of there. the salesman poor guy was apologizing over and over again. NEVER AGAIN will I shop there. The owner is nothing but a rude fat bald bully. I tell everyone I know not to buy from them. I've heard many horror stories about missing items and the owner or his son would not do anything about it.
