Great Expectations ripoff how they operate Tampa Florida

First off they call you unsolicited. they will not give you a price on the phone. when you goto their office they give you a hard sell, still they will not discuss price. then after a couple of hours they hand you the price list. it ranges anywhere from $3500.00 to $6500.00 shocking to say the least.

then as you would guess most people would get up to walk out stating that the price is "a little steep" at that point they will negotiate price trying to get as much as possible of course. finally the will sell you a "trial" mebership for anywhere from $600.00 to $1500.00 depending on where you stop negotiating.

so finally you sign up and they promise you the world. then they schedual you for your pictures and vidieo with thier "professional" photagrapher (this costs $500.00 non-refundable) it is in the fine print of the contract. they will schedual your photoshoot for as far away from the date you signed your contract so the 3day right of recision would not apply at that point.

on photo day you go into a room and they take pictures with a cheap digital camera and the video is with one of those web cams. the forms they give you to fill out are copies of copies of copies barly legable. anyway here is what you get for the money:

you are able to select 5 mebers per day

the member you select must also agree

they will only notify 1 time per week (so if you select someone it will usally take 2 to 8 weeks for an answer depending on the delivery method ie: on line, mail, ect...)

they say you can view members on-line however that is an additional cost aprox $25.00 per month.

if you choose not to purchase the on-line you would need to go into a great-expectations office and use thier computer to access the same on-line service.

the web site is very slow

the ratio between men and women is way off aprox 150 women and over 300 men (last i counted)

most of the women are "inactive" or "on-hold" if they are not chaces are they are no longer members (they do not delete profiles)

I can't imagine someone paying the kind of money they charge and not responding to a request. (this happens alot)

they will only let you choose a member one time for example you choose a member and no response so you would like to select them again becouse maybee the did not get the letter but nope this is not allowed.

if you do not like you profile or pictures they will not change them. if you call or e-mail the center you will get no response. chances are you will not meet anyone on this site most of the women are over 60 years of age.

when your membership expires be carfull if you paid by credit card they will renew and charge you all over again. WITHOUT ASKING!

in the time i was a member i never met another member most of the time the members never responded (found out why they were old members and not active any longer)

if you choose to sign up beware this organization has been sued is just about every state for fraud.
