Eventually people like this business woman who think they are invincible, slip up enough for authorities to step in and do something.
That IS happening!!

Patience is a virtue... and we will be rewarded for it.

We just thank EVERYONE for their support. We are all also very thankful that many families have been spared the heartache associated with this dog and horse seller.

Hopefully she will refrain from selling ANYTHING ever again.

I am aghast that after my report above, and all the reports since and before that this person has had absolutely no repercussions except the previous lawsuits. After news reports and purportedly FBI, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, INTERNET AUTHORITIES, LEGAL ACTIONS, I came back and see her website up and as beautiful as always. This sight is to keep people from being ripped off and also to help us to keep these people from being able to continue their unethical, but specifally ILLEGAL actions. Why arent these people stopped? I am mortified that they can continue on with these practices after all the actions going against them. Is there an answer as to why they cant be stopped? Please let me know, call me innocent but I thought such blatent disregard for the law was that the person/s responsible would be stopped.

If this person is representing any of her dogs/puppies as being AKC registered or registrable, you can file a grievance with the AKC. You should also include any concerns regarding correct parentage on any dogs you might be questioning.

The AKC has strict rules and regulations that anyone breeding AKC registered dogs must follow, including care and housing, proper documentation, and proper transfer of paperwork to new owners.
IF this person is breeding more than 7 litters in a 12 month period, they are subject to inspection. Otherwise, complaints are the only way to get AKC out to the premises to do a check of recordkeeping, proper housing (including no intact males and females being housed together), proper and permanent identification of all AKC registered dogs (tattoo, microchip, or collar with name and registation number on it ON the dog). They can also do DNA checks of any and all dogs on the premises, to determine if puppies are indeed the product of dog A bred to b***h B.
Non compliance can result in fines, and or suspension of AKC priveledges.

Now mind you, there are many other "slightly bogus" "registering bodies" used by many puppy mill operations that won't investigate, but this might be a start to solving the problem.

Anyone looking for a good quality Great Dane might want to check out the parent club "Great Dane Club of America" regarding breeders that are members. A good dog from a responsible breeder isn't impossible to find. Show breeders will have companion (pet) puppies in most any given litter. If you have to be placed on a waiting list, then that might be the way to go, as a good breeder's puppies generally are sold from waiting lists. Ask to SEE health testing results on proper forms for parents(OFA hips/elbows, CERF eye exam, OFA cardiac) Dogs that are clear should have numbers issued by these health registries on their forms. Ask and get in writing how any health issues will be handled if they occur in your dog. You should get a Bill of Sale and the AKC paperwork the same day you get your dog. Don't accept the excuse that the papers aren't back yet unless you have the names, registration numbers of BOTH parents, and birth date of your puppy in writing on a Bill of Sale that's signed by both of you indicating that paperwork will be forwarded upon receipt. If the puppy is over 3 months old, there is NO reason the paperwork shouldn't be in the breeder's possession. If the puppy is under 10-12 weeks old, it's really too young to be going to a new home.

I know it is very disappointing to not be getting the puppy that you were expecting. Puppies are wonderful additions to families;but, consider how devasted you and your kids would be if that pup died suddenly, was of poor temperment,sickly, hard to housebreak and the list goes on. I have a dane from Jacki Greatsinger and the problems and expense that I have incurred in 2 years is more than anyone should have to go through with a pet. She is a HORRIBLE BYB and is only about the money. She can't even prove to you who the pups parents are.

You can thank this site and others that you found that gave you valuable information and be proud of yourself that you stood up to her and broke the deal. I hope that you didn't lose a lot of money. It's a blessing. Believe me no one should have to go through what I and others have at the expense of greed!
