Ok where do I start with this company!!! I have had nothing but problems when my credit card was stolen and almost $700 was taken out in a two day periord.
When I noticed my credit card was stolen on Oct1st 2011 I called Greendot immedetly to report my card as stolen and I told them I went on my transaction history online and noticed 15 transaction in 3 days.
Now I asked for a repacement card asap.I had 1,653.56 on my card to begin with buy the time I checked all the transactions I was down to $897.00.I received a claim number the first time I called which in no way helped me whatsoever.So I waited and waited for my new card to come in the mail,never received.I must have called over 10 times wanting to know where my new card was.I only got the run aroung by 12 so called different employees.Finally I was at I wits in!! I called once again I was told they were going to FedEx it over night another lie,I did not receive the FedEx.I called once again and was told we would FedEx overnight never received.I must have called a total of 30 times in 7-8 days.
This is where it gets good!! I would call and be passed from one rep to another.At this point I knew all their voices.I would ask to spaek to a supervisor they would put me on hold and they same rep I spoke with would come up with a different name and say she/he is a supervisor.
So finally 12 days after I reported my card as stolen I did receive a card in the mail.I went to activate the card online and it states this card has been reported stolen as well GREAT!!!

I asked them what do I do at this point??? They said they were going to send me a new card and it would take 7-10 buisness days WOW.I couldn't believe what I was hearing in total shock.I am a single mother who just got almost $700 stole off my card and now I would have to wait longer for my remaining $900.I work as a server in a resturant and make tips so I thought this would the prefect card for me at the end of my shifts to keep my money secure...BOY WAS I WRONG!!!

So finally I get my new card they transfer the remainder of my funds on to the new card and cancel the old cards.Now I noticed the the new card had the same number as the card that was stolen WOW doesn't even suprise me at this point..I change my pin# so atleast I had a card and money.
They also promised since I was charged 3 different times for lost or stolen card at $4.95 they would refund that another lie,they also promised I would get a $25.00 credit for the incovience,another lie never got.
So after I reported my card stolen I went to the police station and filed a police report.They have have charged the person with Grand Larceny 300-500 the 2nd charge is fraud use of a credit card to obtain goods over $300.
So speaking with Greendot by this time over 30+ different calls....I was told to print out a dispute form and fax it to them with the transactions I am disputing.I have the police report where the person is being charge with the crimes...I faxed the receipts for the load money,I faxed the dispute forms,I faxed the police report,I printed out my transaction history and faxed that as well.I faxed 12 pages which cost me $14.00 at office depot.

I receive a letter in the mail the other day stating my dispute was declined do to me giving the person the authorazation to withdraw this money which is unheard of.There were 15 transaction at one atm overa 3 day period.Now any other credit card company would of put a hold on the credit card seeing all those atm withdraws in such a short amount of time example(3 different transactions at the same time for $20.).Now who in their right mind would do that knowing the fees involved beeing charged 4.50 for each transaction,why would I just take out $60.00 makes no sense whatsoever.
So once seeing the letter stating I was denied and I gave this person premission to take out funds.I was review the letter and they have things on there that I never even put in my dispute(my cell phone bill,a purchase at walgreens etc.).They did not put the information I faxed over on my dispute forms nor what was on the police report.
So finally one last attempt to get my funds back.I spoke to Mike at the,very nice at first said he would work on this and it might take a few days..At this point what do I have to lose..He left me a message stating that he spoke to the dispute department and things are looking in my favor another lie..So finally 2 days later I receive a call from him,in the mean time the detective handling my case had called and asked if I would be able to get the exact dates and times the money was withdrew for the proscuting dept.Otherwise he will supeona them for the records.Mike at corp. said I can not email nor send you the time or dates the money was taking out.I go online and it just gives the posted days the withdraws were taking out and we need the actual day and times.He stated they are going to have to supeona the company,that's fine the dectective informed me thay would supeona them anyway.
Now he also advised me that he listened to my first coverstaion when I reported my card stolen not the 20-30 other calls just the first one.Well the person who did steal my card is related to my family.

My first phone call as being reported stolen I spoke with a man by the name of Jeremy who asked me at what point do you think he was able to get my pin# I told him either he saw me type it in at the store or overheard me giving it to my mom I wasn't sure.Now Mike at corporate stated after reviewing the tapes that is the reason I am not getting my money back...I told Jeremy I wasn't sure how he got my pin# I was assuming!!!

I asked Mike at let me listen to the tape he stated he had no way of  doing that.I asked could he email me the tape,he also had noway of doing that.I asked him so if I'm at a store and see someone tpe in their pin# and drop there credit card does that give me premission to go and take money out of their account!!! He had no response to that..

I am warning all who plan on getting a GreenDot card to think twice Please...The reason we all put our money in Bank accounts,Prepaid credit cards is so it is protected am I right?? Well this company has not protected my money in no way ,shape ,or form..

It has big one probem,excuse,lie etc. after another.Their customer service is the worst I have ever delt with,lie,fraudulant use of name giving,empty promises
