To all Green Tree and Conseco Customers:
I am here to help you. I want you guys to do the following:
1. Buy a tape recorder for your phone - when you receive a call from Green Tree - record the conversation.
(If an abusive conversation)
2. I want you to then send the tape to: Your local TV station and also to the Federal Trade Commission in Washington DC.
You can also go to the website: www.ftc.gov
to file a compliant.
3. I want you to then write an article to your local newspaper about your experience with Green Tree/Conseco. (Editoral section) This would get the word out.
For those of you who still have loans with conseco or your loan was transferred to Green Tree, call your local DMV to see if there is a lien against your mobile by Green Tree or Conseco. (I've learned that companies make mistakes in titling and Green Tree did not place a lien on my trailer.) Therefore, I was able to sell it and Green Tree did not get any proceeds from it. I don't care if it goes on my credit - so perhaps if you are concern in this area - you may not want to do this.
4. If you know of anyone with a Green Tree mortgage encourage them to follow these steps. The only way to retaliate with companies, is by hitting them were it hurts. " In the Pocket"!!!
5. Remember - you are the reason why Green Tree is still in business - try to refinance your homes: Here are some companies
-Green Point
-Allmanufacturehomes.com
-JCF Acceptance
-Dennison Financial
-Aaron Financial
-US Bank
-CIT
-National Mobile Home Financing 1-800-298-4482
-Origin
-Triad
-Vanderbilt
-Bergen
-Or a signature loan if you qualify.
The way Green Tree customer service and management treats you guys should tell you exactly they way the think of you " poor trash", the industry mentality is that you, you can't get financing anywhere else because they have cornered the market -therefore, you have no chose but to deal with the way they treat you.
Again, go by a tape recorder and mail it to everyone who would listen to it -in the media.
Good Luck!!

Check DMV records immediately, no lien holder listed on mine
AUTHOR: Sue - (U.S.A.)

Went to DMV, received the title, no lienholder listed. Cost $20. However I did pay the loan in full with their bogus attorney fees attached. I have already sold the mobile home and transferred the title. Check the DMV records, looks like it is possible that when bought out their records were not transferred or recorded.

Checked DMV records and there isn't any loan/liens. I am being threatened with foreclosure. How do I get a title and sell? I have a buyer who wants the home and I would like to be able to walk away from this company. Your advice is greatly appreciated.
