Wrong! I paid my extras!

Yes I asked for extras once we started the job but I PAID for them and I have 2 contracts to prove that! Our original one and a revised one with my $4k worth of extras. I don't care what NJ law says...I care about what a signed contract says and yes I owed you money when the job was finished...your words! You never finished and you took money for supplies you never delivered (a custom patio door and floor tiles)! It's really not my problem you under bid the job then blame me! 15 years in business you should know how to price a job! And as for the "extra" paint...adding color to your paint doesn't cost a thing more yet I still paid extra for it! Between 2 contracts and 90+ emails you're wrong...everything is in writing. I did nothing wrong and you left an unfinished job!

Green Worx Construction Did not take this clients money as a matter of fact we left job with over 4000.00 being owed to us.
The homeowner hired us to do a basic basement refinish job that was quoted according to their rerquest but by the end stages of the job it had become more than just a basic basement refinish job. We gave her everything she requested thruout the job with very little extra charges if any, and over the course of the job these free extras started to spiral out of control. Have you ever heard the phrase Some People You Just Cant Please well here is a perfect example of that phrase.
This Homeowner was impossible to please. Days at a time went by waiting for decisions on flooring, paint colors ,tile etc. There were some changes made to the contract along the way and some extra work requested as well. For the extra work requested out of the goodness in our hearts we gave this homeowner all of the materials at our cost not only that we picked up and delivered the materials for no profit and the labor was charged at cost meaning I charged her only what I had to pay my man to do the job. No Profit for the company. It was winter and we had a lot of snow Not once did we come to the house with materials and find a shoveled walkway or driveway we had to slump thru 2 feeet of snow to get to the back of the house and on several occasions I coukld not even get into the driveway. When we had a delivery scheduled for materials the driver from Kuiken Bros called me and said they are not carrying the stuff without a shoveled walkway and they left. The job was quoted as a basic refinish job meaning we hang drywall and paint all the rooms the same color etc This homeowner requested a different color in every room not only that some of the rooms she wanted two different colors on different walls in the same room and the trim a different color as well. What did we say No problem just pay for the extra paint and we will do it at no extra cost and we did. I paid my men over 1200.00 for the custom paint work and did not charge a a dime more than what the Glidden paint she wanted cost us.
Green Worx Has been in business for over 15 years and there has never been a negative complaint filed anywhere about us. Those of you who have used us know how we will bend over backwards for our clients but sometimes you have to cut your losses and say enough is enough, and this was one of those times. When we ceased work I was 3900.00 in the red on the project and asked the homeowner for some of the money that was left for the last payment on the job to purchase the last few materials we needed to complete the project and she said NO the contract says this is the last payment well the contract said a lot of other things too that were abandoned because it benefited her it didnt matter if we strayed from the contract. It wasa an insult to me andmy workers for her to say no after all of the extra work we did for nothing and by law in NJ the last paymenet only has to be 10% of the job in this case it would have been 1400.00 but we left over 4000.00 as the last payment as per their request and look what happened. So its up to you to see through the transparency of this complaint. Once again in 15 years Green Worx has NEVER had any negative complaints written , filed , or arbitrated at any time and we have hundreds of satisfied clienst as references.
