Greenhill Village Greenhill Village and the Great North Woods Lies about condition of carpet/ charging me for replacement in a apartment/Lies me having pet Columbus Ohio

When I moved in to Greenhill Village apartments they offered to up grade my apartment for 50.00 dollars more a month but when I saw the apartment on the day of move in nothing was up graded. If anything the water damage on the ceiling and the poorly finished 40 year old apartment was not what they offered. When I confronted the apartment manager he stated you can have your deposit back mind you I have no where to go and my furniture on the truck and no more money to move anywhere else. I felt stuck and lied to about everything. But I sucked it up and moved in anyway. It took me two years to move out of these apartments when I left I made sure to clean and leave the apartment in good condition. They said they changed the carpet before I moved in to the apartment but when you ran a sweeper on the carpet dog smell came out of the rug so I used deoderizer constantly to keep the smell away.When I confronted them about the animal smell they stated they did not have any animals in my apartment. I told them I was very alergic to animals and have none of my own.

When I left the apartment I thought I would be getting away from Greenhill apartments but to add insult to injury they said I destroyed the carpet and took pictures and stated I owed them 660.00 dollars for the replacement of the carpet took 300.00 my deposit and wants 402.75 for the remainer and 42.75 for a water bill when I paid them more than they ever deserved. They new because of the lack of insulation the gas bill is out of this world and the vetilation from the apartments on both sides of my apartment have animals that smell up your apartment. The entire time living there I felt taken advatage of and stuck in this living situation and could not get away.

I filled a complaint with the BBB complaint #11572627 handled by K.Haddix. She stated they have picture and documentation that prove what they say and I tell you they are once again lying. I am a single parent with one income and very little money. when you move out of a apartment they alway find a way to keep your deposit, but this is something more. I feel like I accepted my fate and lived their for two years and paid all that I owed and more with the extra 50.00 dollar from the false upgrades they promised but never received. The lies is abuse the documentation is lies that is their business and who takes pictures before they leave on moving day.
