The Real Estate Company has homes listed to view on their website. We viewed them, and chose one we thought looked right for our family. As our credit wasn't the best, we felt that buying a home from these people would be more attainable than traditional lending mortgage companies. The "real estate agent" had us sign our closing papers with Greenleaf Companies, LLC, the "seller" and purported owner of the home we were buying on a Contract for Deed. We asked many questions about the validity of buying the home such as: If the home caught on fire would we be put in another home...or what happens if the home goes into foreclosure... All our worries were swept away. Since then, our home has gone into foreclosure. Greenleaf Companies, LLC doesn't own the home as they stated, and other homes listed by The Real Estate Company are in the foreclosure process as well. We paid our home owners association dues before they would even let us move into the home and yet we are unable to use the community facilities because the home owners association dues weren't paid to the Association by Greenleaf Companies, LLC! As we investigated further, we found that Greenleaf Companies, LLC doesn't even OWN any homes! They have "investors" (which I later found out are called "straw buyers") purchase the homes, using their credit and name, and yet don't keep up the payments to the mortgage companies. I've done my own investigation, and each of the homes I've researched it states on the Deed of Trust that the "owner/investor" will owner/occupy the property, and yet no one has ever lived in my home before our family and most of the other homes in our neighborhood haven't been occupied by the owner listed in the Recorder of Deeds office. This is blatant mortgage fraud and others should be warned before they too, lose their home from foreclosure! These "investors" should be warned before their good credit is ruined by these deceitful people! Each "investor" who purchased a home and stated on their HUD-1 Settlement Statement that they would owner/occupy the property committed mortgage fraud by lying to their lending agency! The Real Estate Company, LLC and Greenleaf Companies, LLC MUST BE STOPPED! Contact the Missouri Attorney General's office and file a consumer complaint! You CAN make a difference!! http://ago.mo.gov/consumercomplaint.htm
