This dealership performed a $650 repair on my Jeep that was later determined to be unnecessary.  What I really needed was a new battery but their apparently incompetent service technicians failed to recognize classic symptoms of a bad battery and chose to make up a story of my car having "bad gas" in it and needing $650 worth of work on it.  After all that, guess what?  My car still did not start properly because it needed a new battery.  The service tech got sleazy (as per their reputation)when asked about it and said some rather laughable things to me.  The fact is, my Jeep ran smoothly for over 100 miles with no symptoms of "bad gas" on this supposed bad gas.  It just wouldn't turn over when I tried to start it.  This dealership charges HIGH prices as one expects at a dealer service department, which is to be expected, however, I did mistakenly expect a dealership to have a high level of integrity, which was not the case.  As a loyal (and repeat) Jeep customer for over 15 years, this experience makes me question any future loyalty to their brand if they can operate in a dishonest way and try to take advantage of the trust their customers place in them.  Very disappointing to say the least.

Greenway: A History of Fraud/Deception!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Greenway and Cory Fairbanks lead the way in the Orlando area for fraud and deception in the Sleazy American Car Business.

Greenway, owned by Frank Frodriquez, the Hispanic Businessman of the Year has a whole rapsheet of con-games including:

FALSE ADVERTISING

BOGUS, ADD-ON, PHONEY FEES

SERVICE RIP-OFF'S

ADVERTISING FAKE CAR PRICES

And the BBB is right in there with them!  Greenway has PURCHASED a phoney accreditation, which they hide behind.  Anybody can buy this, its just like buying a phoney college degree.  (That is the BBB scam...sell fake accreditations.)

There's not much you can do now.  The other poster was absolutely correct in recommending you to a good independent mechanic.  I mean a REAL MECHANIC with a real shop which is neat and clean.  I do not mean some place where the "manager's" last job was making french fries at McDonald's.

Do your family and friends a GREAT SERVICE.  Tell them what Greenway did to you.  Spread the word about their REPUTATION for fraud and deception!

Tina, I was told that I needed a new engine in my BMW back in 2002 by a service advisor at a BMW dealership, but I only needed a new battery....

AUTHOR: Karl - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, September 10, 2010

and to have the battery cables tightened & adjusted.

Fortunately I got a second opinion and had the work done by an independent mechanic who specialized in German cars. You can go to the BMW page of this site and read Papo's Ripoff Report which is Report #638339.

*It's interesting that your Ripoff Report, regarding a new battery, coincides with one of the consumer comments posted at Papo's Ripoff Report just the other day, correct?

P.S. Find an independent mechanic in your area with a good reputation and take your Jeep there instead. You'll be much happier, and you'll save money too!

Good luck to you.

Dealership with integrity?? NO SUCH THING!!!

AUTHOR: Will - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, September 10, 2010

There has never been or ever will be a car dealership that has integrity,it's an oxymoron. They don't refer to them as  "STEALERSHIPS"  for nothing.
