Tracked down my mother who is in a nursing home with Alzheimers to see if they could collect a debt for Farmers Insurance Group, Inc. a company that does not have judgment against us. HIPAA violation. Privacy violation Calabasas California

In the course of attempting to collect a debt from me from an entity entitled Farmers Insurance Group, Inc., an entity that does not even have a judgment against me; Guaranty Collections just advised me that they contacted a nursing home in Ohio where my mother is currently residing with advanced alzheimers.

They advised me it was a "non-invasive" investigation.  What could be more invasive than going into the medical records of someone not even a party to the fraud lawsuit against their client Farmers Insurance Group Inc.

We will be bringing Guaranty Collections in as a party to their clients fraud on the basis of the outrageous breach of privacy laws and federal HIPAA violatons for accessing medical information about someone.

I learned this information in a telephone conversation with the President, who identified himself as "George Craig" who was the supervisor of  "George North" who was the person who originally sent us to collections on a debt they claim we owe to Farmers Insurance Group, Inc. an entity that does not have a valid judgment against us.

On the internet, the President is listed as "Craig Nathan" and "Sol Nathan".  It is quite disturbing that the President of a Company has many aliases and I am begiinning to realize why!

We disputed the debt in writing and asked for information about this company and they never responded.  They merely placed us in collections.

In speaking to the President (whatever his name was), he advised me that he had performed a "non-invasive search" and found out my mother was in a nursing home with Alzheimers.  I guess he was attempting to distress me by revealing this and he did.  What he doesn't realize is he violated an innocent persons privacy.

I have asked repeatedly for the physical address of their client, Farmers' Insurance Group, Inc. and Mr. Nathan (George, Craig, Sol?) stated fhe did not have it.  I asked for the agent for service for the company so I could serve them with a fraud suit and he did not have it.  Interestingly, some of Farmers' Insurance Exchanges attorneys share offices with Guaranty Cofllection at the same physical address.

We have a long battle with this company because they do not operate in good faith, they misrepresent themselves and their clients and even the president's own name.

The reason I am posting this is to alert others who are being pursued by them that they will go to any lengths, including contacting your mother in a nursing home to collect on a disputed debt.
