Guardian came to our home and gave us a quote of $8000 to move from California to Hawaii.  Their truck showed up on Sunday ( the day before we had to be out of our house) packed up most of the furniture and then told us the price will be $14500, explaining that it was more than what they estimated.     I explained that Chris Brown had come to our house and did the estimate himself telling us that he believed that it was on the high side ($8000) and most likely would be less.  In addition we decided not to ship one full bedroom set and the living room furniture so it should have been much lees.   The driver said that I would need to pay 60% now and resolve it with Chris Brown on Monday..   They had the entire contents of our home loaded on the truck, for the exception of several items they left behind, unfortunately we had no choice but to pay him and then attempt to get  ahold of Chris Brown so he would honer his commitment.. That didn't happen! After sending several emails to Mr. Chris Brown he never acknowledged a single one with a response!!!  I called Guardian and did not recieve any support from them.  In addition to all of the above we recieved an invoice for storage. I explained that there was no need for storage and that this was never mentioned to us before. Guardians response was pay it or you'll never get your shipment. So in otherwords your screwed!!! Once again we had no choice but to give in and pay for storage!!!

The items arrived, several pieces of  damaged furniture and missiing boxes.   I called and emailed Guardian severel times to see if they would help locate the missing boxes along with copies of their shipment records that showed 15 boxes missing! The only response from Guardian was "We show that they were delivered".   This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with!!!!!

You can see that they have done this many times before....    first giving you a resonable quote, then once they have your items they increase the price knowing you have no choice but to pay.  They add as many additional fees as possible to extract more money( like storage).    They are skilled at backing people into a corner with absolutely no options but to pay the ramson over the risk of never seeing your entire home items again..  Some things are just not replaceable. For instance my wife's mother's collection of Hummels, my Dads war records and photos along with my wife's parents photos, these are memories that are gone for good!!!!
