Guardsman of Valspar Corporation Warrenty Rip Off Grand Rapids Michigan

I purchased a furniture protection plan on my couch, purchased from Haverty's, from Guardsman on 8/16/09. This warrenty, under the Gold in Home protection plan, was supposed to cover all stains tears, rips, seam seperation and so on. I submitted a claim for service on my couch due to a seam seperation about 2 weeks ago. Today 10/26/10, Guardsman called and denied my claim saying that it was due to normal wear and tear on my couch and that any damage related to normal wwear and tear is not covered. Under the terms of the contract it says that any seam seperation is covered. On top of that there is no way for seam seperation to occur without wear and tear. I spoke with a representative and her supervisor. Neither of them were willing to service my furniture or do anything else to settle this complaint. I informed them that I was going to be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well as any consumer protection agencies in the state of Michigan.
