H & R Accounrs Collections on Hospital Bills. Paying thru my bank account. Legal? Moline Illinois

 H & R Accounts is electronically taking monthly payment from my personal checking account thru my local bank. This is the 2nd go around wirh them for local hospital bills for my husband, and myself. This bill was filed in small claims court requesting the $1800.00 + court costs, and 2.11% interest. I contacted H & R Accounts, and set up a monthly payment plan which Brett told me would be 40 payments. These payments began on November 15, 2014. Pay off should be March 15, 2018. I have read on the internet to not pay H & R Accounts any money, and to pay the debtor I owe. If this is true, why do they continue to get by with collection of hospital bills?
