I had my taxes filed @ H/R Block Last week, let's see to be precise it was Feb 26th to be exact. Well today is the 6th, and according to the IRS, my refund was supposed to of been deposited to my bank account today. So I called my bank to see if they could see the deposit pending, but they were unable to. So then I called H/R Block to see if they had the correct routing number, (had to call them 2 times) because I know when the government gives a date of deposit you can bank on it. Your funds will be available on the day they say.

Anyway, my first call to H/R Block was to verify my account number and had to go thru 2 people to find out what was up with my account number. The first person I spoke with could barely speak any English which ticked me off.  Finally after about 30 minutes on the phone with this guy, he stated his computer was prompting him to transfer me to someone else who could help me, so he did. Told the new my issue as well, which were, I had decided in the beginning to have my refund sent to their Emerald Card, but changed my mind before the submission and have my refund sent to my personal account which cost more than having the funds sent to H/R Block's Emerald Card, however, I didn't care because I did not want my money on H/R Blocks card no matter how good they tried to make it sound. (Didn't say that to the rep, those were my feelings.)

Anyway, after stating this I asked the rep if she could tell me if my refund went to this card instead because of my abrupt decision to change where I wanted my money sent. Then the rep asked me some information to pull up my account. Well, what she told me was "I see the IRS has sent your refund to your account. Did you give them the correct routing number?" I told her I believe so, then she read the routing number off to me and I told her the first digit was missing which was a zero, then I asked her if that one digit would of made a difference as to why my funds weren't deposited to my account and she advised me to contact my bank again, so I did.

Per the rep at my bank, the missing digit does make a difference in routing number as the computer reads all the digits of the routing number and the zero is not to be ignored. After finding this information out, I contacted H/R Block again to advise them of having my routing number incorrect and the rep who answered the phone asked me to read off my routing number again along with the account number which I did, and she stated they have the correct routing number and also stated she cannot be responsible for what another rep told me.

This is when I got angry because when I first called they were missing a digit on my routing number, now all of a sudden they have the correct routing number. So I asked to speak with a manager and he told me, that the IRS did deposit the funds, but it was to their account so they could get their money first, then they turned around so he say's and sent the rest to my account electronically. But what he failed to mention, was H/R Block had cut me a RAC (Refund Anticipated Check), which means they have my check deposited into their account collecting interest on my money and everyone else's who files with them!!!!! Once the IRS sends you your money, they cut you a check, then send it to your account which is why we have to wait so long to get our d**n money!!

I don't know why this took me so long to figure out, but H/R Block of full of sh*t and I do not plan on using them ever again. And anyone who does is a fool, because if the IRS sends your money in as little time as they sent mine after I filed, they would of had it within 8 days, and this time frame includes the weekend!! They should be sued for the prices they charge to do taxes and how they handle your money. H/R Block should not be allowed to hold people's checks, collect interest on them and send us who use them a check!!!

They tell you to check the IRS website to see your status and when you find out your money was supposed to be sent to your account, it's not. I'ts been sent to them H/R Block and they cut you a check so they can collect the interest off of the money you should of already had!!! What crooks. Would not recommend them to anyone. Oh and their very nonchalant when you call them very angry about your money too, almost as if to say "what do you want me to do about it, your the fool".
