On Nov. 12, 2008 I bought 2 pairs of flannel lined pants from Haband online.

As a Christmas present I gave one pair to a fried, Louie.

Today was the first time he wore them and was out ice fishing.

At 9:30 p.m. his fishing buddy called me to say that they were just leaving the Hospital ER! Louie had been standing by a propane heater when the back of his pants caught fire.

In seconds there was a HUGE flame up his legs. His fishing buddy leaped over and beat out the flame. He was that quickly burned 3rd degree burns, 6 inch X 12 inch!

At this time he is bandaged and will be headed to Miller-Dawn Burn unit. Not good. Apparently the pants are very explosively flamable.

Those pants are supposed to be flame retardant rated!

He needs to save the pants, save the receipts, packaging --anything that shows where he ordered the pants from, proof that he paid for them and proof that he was wearing them and proof that they were defective and contributed to his injury and he has a LAWSUIT!

I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THESE SUBSTANDARD CHINESE OR OTHER THIRD-WORLD SLAVE LABOR PRODUCTS BEING FOISTED OFF ON US BY GREEDY CORPORATIONS WHO OUTSOURCE OUR JOBS AND SELL CHEAP PRODUCTS WHICH CAN BE DANGEROUS!

MAYBE A GOOD LAWSUIT WILL CONVINCE THESE YUPPIE CEOs that concern about their consumers and less concern about penny wise and pound foolishness will get us a better quality of product for our money!

I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY AND I DID NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE. YOU NEED TO CONSULT AN ATTORNEY WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN YOUR STATE FOR LEGAL ADVICE.

I just gave some common sense advice.
