WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I needed a replacement inner tube, so I called and talked to Patrick, who told me to bring it down and he'd take care of me. I walked into the shop and handed him my inner tube. He told me the specifics of the valve and handed me a replacement. After getting home, I realized the valve on my new tube was a full 1-1/2 inches shorter than my old one. Upon calling, Patrick said he'd refund me. I went all the way back down there and asked to speak to the owner. He listens to my complaint about his "less than knowledgeable staff" and decided not to refund me at all, and told me to leave! As I walked out, they all LINED UP IN AN OPEN WINDOW TO FLIP ME THEIR MIDDLE FINGERS!!! Not exactly good customer service....

Amazing People, Amazing Service

AUTHOR: Anthony - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, April 24, 2017

It is so strange there is a complaint about Halcyon Bike shop. I just got service there and it was nothing short of respectful. So much so, I decided to write a review and found this bad report from a Google search.

I have a vintage bike that needed A LOT of work. Both Patrick and the owner were very helpful, and kind. Patrick spearheaded the project and was able to offer reasonable solutions for even more reasonable prices. He knows so much about bikes, I knew my bike was in great hands. Since the work he/they did on it, it rides great, especially in Nashville with all the hills. I even bought a light to go on the bike which I later did not think was bright enough and Halcyon totally refunded me, no problem. Everyone at the shop seemed really nice and helpful, I cannot possibly imagine any of them flicking off a customer. They even offered me some coffee while I waited to get my finished product and waved me goodbye when I left!

It seems to me that this negative report is a bit bogus, especially since the individual who filed it obviously did so angrily and on multiple websites. Respect requires both sides to act accordingly. People make mistakes but it should not give a customer permission to judge and demean them to the owner as "less than knowledgeable", especially based off a tiny, inexpensive tube/valve. And if the owner was willing to give the customer a refund, I don't get what the problem is. You cannot just yell at people and expect good results.
