My husband and I were looking for a family friendly second car being that we recently had a baby. Someone referred us to Halvorsen motors in Scottsdale. We filled out the paperwork and they quickly responded and said they could finance us.

We drove up from Tucson excited to get our new to us car and since they knew we were on our way we thought the car would be ready to go. From the start we were a bit nervous as they had to take the car to emissions and to be cleaned. Four hours later we finally left in our new car just to realize the power windows and mirrors were not working, we turned around to return it but they promised they would fix it all at our convience.

My husband took the car and had it detailed as it was filthly and we found the trunk was full of cat urine. I took it to a mechanic to be checked out and a list of things was found to be wrong. The car needed new brakes, the coolant system was full of rust, there was no oil, the windows mirrors and seats were not working, the rear defrost was not working and to our shock the electric steering was declared unsafe and needed to be replaced.

The dealership said they would fix it all and were ordering parts. When we didn't hear from them we called and they said they had the parts and were waiting for us to bring it up to be fixed.

My husband spoke to them on Friday the 4th of January when they called to say our payment was late. On Saturday the 6th I was at a job interview and when I went to leave the car was gone leaving me stranded with my infant daughter as her car seat was in the vehicle.

After calling 911 we were informed they dealership had picked it up. We called them to find out why they picked it up as our first payment was not due until the 7th. They said that we were late but when we pointed out the payment was not due until the 7th they said that after talking to the owner they did not want to deal with us anymore because we were being too picky.

They said they were not giving us our down payment back, that they were keeping it as their fee for us having used the vehicle for the time we had it. We had to find someone to go to Scottsdale for us to get our belongings out of the car since my husband could not take off work and I had no car seat. Several items were missing from the car.
