Purchase car from hammer used cars. the owner lied about mileage said it was 56,000 when it was purchased at 61,000 miles. Lied to finance company to get more money from them. Alsolied to warranty company as well as me. 

Tania of hammer used car sales on frankford avenue in philadelphia is a liar and a scam artist. She promise to repair the R350 that was purchased from her instead she drove my car around for 12 days then said it wasn't nothing wrong. I took the car to benz dealer. They found several things wrong the transmission thermostat battery not powerful enough for car cd stuck in player sunroof and electrical problems.

She promised to help with cost to repair she didn't she constantly lies all the time we had a verbal agreement. The bad part she was suppose to be a friend. She believes that nothing can be do e to her because she is a LLC. She is a bad business woman.

People be aware of this dealership. I know there is a lot of people out here that she has done this too. I still haven't received my registration I believe she doesn't have a clean title on the vechile.

Its so many things bad about the hammer dealership its horrible. Going to state police on her better business bureau calling the finance company harrisburg and attorney and whoever else I can.

Please people stay away from Hammer Auto Sales you will be sorry.

My car stays parked or in the shop more than its driven. She agreed to pay half which is $700.00 plus the diagnostic charges sunroof is $4100.00 to be repaired out of pocket cost for the work that was done warranty didn't cover is $1500.00.

She never gets on phone is hides behind employees tells them to say she isn't there. I had to pop up on her in another car with tinted windows so she couldn't see me or she would have hid but didn't have time to.

She has about 30 cars on the lot all of them all broken she will make them run enough to get them sold and a day or two later they are broken down on you

IT HAS RECENTLY BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME MARCHELL HAS COMMITTED  FRAUD. I HAVE ENCLOSED THE DOCKET SHOWING HER LAST CHARGES FROM 2006 THESE ARE ALLEGED CHARGES. SOME SHE WAS FOUND GUILTY OF. THIS IS PUBLIC INFORMATION FOUND ONLINE:

1 18 § 3921 Theft By Unlaw Taking-Movable Prop Held for Court

2 18 § 3922 Theft By Decep-False Impression Held for Court

3 18 § 3925 Receiving Stolen Property Held for Court

4 18 § 4120 Identity Theft Dismissed - LOE

5 18 § 4101 Forgery-Alter Writing Held for Court

6 18 § 4104 Tamper Records Or Id-Writing Held for Court

7 18 § 4105 Bad Checks Held for Court

8 18 § 4114 Secure Execution Docs By Deception Held for Court

 

THESE CHARGES WERE AFTER TWO SUCCESSFUL CIVIL SETTLEMENTS AGAINST OTHER INDIVIDUALS. OBVIOUSLY SHE HAS ATTEMPTED YET AGAIN TO DEFRAUD THE PUBLIC, AUTHORITIES, MYSELF, AND MY COMPANY. I HOPE THIS CLEARS THINGS UP AND IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT WE LOOK TO PROVIDE QUALITY VEHICLES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THIS IS AN EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCE IN WHICH THIS INDIVIDUAL HAD NO INTENTION OF CONDUCTING GOOD BUSINESS.

 Marchell Davis has provided the internet as well as the Attorney Generals office Conflicting and False information. The information provided to the Attorney General was different from what was provided to Rip Off Report. Her vehicle with a CLEAN TITLE was registered per Pennsylvania Department of Transportation OVER ONE MONTH prior to her having written this report. She was provided with a registration for her vehiicle by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. ALL documentation signed by both her and her co-signor coinsides with All information provided to the State of Pennsylvania. That is why the case was Closed. She further told them that she paid almost $10000 more for the vehicle than she actually did. This was a difficult loan for us to accomplish and we were weary of doing the transaction based on Marchell's history. Threatening and yelling seems to be the way that she accomplishes getting things for free. She received a Free copy of her registration at a local tag agency by yelling and threatening to the point they gave it to her free of charge to get her out of the office because she was scaring employees and customers. Duplicate Registrations require a fee. The Department of Transportation charges that fee to the agency whether the customer pays or not. They were willing to pay just so that she would leave. This says a lot about the situation. The warranty that was purchased and financed was sold and financed by her lender. The fact of the matter is that she wanted us to pay for a $500 battery Months after the pourchase (because she wanted one from Mercedes Benz) and both the lender and the warranty claims repreentative told me that after speaking with her and me; they felt she was "trying to get over" on us. Before even filing a claim she contacted us yelling that she did not have a warranty. IMPOSSIBLE. The lender pays for and activates the warranties immediately. Not only did she know the warranty was through her lender and she should have called them but I contacted the warranty company who told me the only time she had called was a week or more prior just to ask what the claims procedures were. So, Why did she lie and call us yelling about not having a warranty knowing full well she did and having already confirmed that weeks prior.  As an owner I do my best to help all my customers but on that same note, I do pay staff to manage sales, service, or even answer phones (receptionsit). This is not hiding behind employees this is allowing my employees to do their jobs. Thats why they are here and getting paid to do such things. It is time consuming when you are dealing with someone that is inconsistant with statements and allegations. We do our best. We have spoken to the lender, clarifying that WE ARE NOT UNDER any type of investigation. We spoke with the Atorney General whom we provided with ALL documentation. They have now closed the case. It would be bad business to pay out funds to someone who black mails with defamation of my character as well as my business' by misrepresenting facts and blatently misinforming the public. I have no IDEA what Marchell is talking about when discussing popping us in a car with tinted windows but obviously there is room for concern with a statement like that as to what type of mind set she has. CLARIFICATION:

WE SERVICE OUR VEHICLES BEFORE ANY SALE

WE GIVE A THREE MONTH POWER TRAIN WARRANTY ON ALL QUALIFIED VEHICLES

WE OFFER EXTENDED WARRANTIES FOR UP TO 48 MONTHS

WE DEAL WITH ALL CREDIT TYPES AND INCOME TYPES (this doesn't always mean we deal with the best quality individuals but we give everyone the benefit of the doubt and understand that we've gone through a recession so that most of us have all been impacted by)

WE OFFER HONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE. IT'S UNFORTUNATE THAT MARCHELL DAVIS IS NOT HAPPY BUT GIVEN HER SITUATION AND PAST VEHICLE LOSSES WE STILL GOT HER FINANCED FOR A 2006 MERCEDES BENZ R350 WITH LOW MILES, A CLEAN TITLE, A GOOD VEHICLE HISTORY REPORT, AND A WARRANTY INCLUDED.

WE UNDERSTAND THAT WE CAN NOT PLEASE EVERYONE BUT ARE CONFIDENT WE'VE DONE ALL THAT WE COULD FOR THIS INDIVIDUAL TO INCLUDE GIVING FUNDS FOR GAS WHEN SHE COMPLAINED AND TAKING A $100 LOSS BECAUSE WHEN DOWN PAYMENT FUNDS WERE RECEIVED but THEY DIDN'T BALANCE OUT. This happening when given to a former employee that is friends with Marchell. She is friends with two former employees of ours that used to work at another dealership where the same type of problems arrised and the owner was threatened over and over again into giving Marchell what she wanted.

This is in response to mr j gray contrary to what you believe or say I brought the 2006 r350 from here that she neglected to tell us that her brother messed the car up completely and yes my warranty paid for most of it and I paid out of pocket for didn't mess or tear up s**t. Her brother destroyed the car completely it's been in the shop more than I driven it. Of course you going to say that. That's why she is being investigated as we speak by the finance company now I have documents to show what I post so have a good day. By the way you have your truck posted in her lot and work and sell things out her place of business not legal things either

You make no sense. If the warranty doesnt cover something it's usually because it's unnessesary, you broke it due to negligence, or it's a maintenance item. I bought my 2010 Nissan Altima from her. My cousin bought a 2004 BMW x5 from her, my mom bought a 2005 Lincoln aviator from her. Everything she promised she gave us. my whole family will continue to buy all our cars from her.
