August 22 I was contacted by a Lindsay Marshall she said that she received my application from loan 777 which I did applied. This website matches you with lenders. But it didn't give me anyone due to my credit score. When she contacted me by email I was a little throws off but I thought maybe I caught a break. I was deeply in need of a loan at the time. She left a number for me to call it seemed very legit. When I called her she said I been aproved for 5000 loan I was suprised but happy. She then informed me in order to get the loan I would need a total of 3 payments upfront equalling up to 466.68 or to get a co-signer. I didn't have 466.68 to send nor did I have a co-signer. Linsday also informed me that she is a loan consultant who sets her clients up with different lenders. On August 23 Lindsay said she talked to the Lender who was willing to lend to me, who told her that would work with me . I only had 380 to my name. So she said to send 350.

After I sent the money I tried calling her multiple times to see what was going on on August 25th I contacted her askin what was going on said the Lender reviewed my account and wanted me to pay an extra of 3 payments. I literally exploded. I needed the loan and they played me. I told her why would they agree and wait until I send the money to do this. She then said if I want a refund I have to wait 30 days. 30 days passed and I contacted her which them she saus it's more like 45 days. I waited it has been passed 45 days. I contacted her again she then says the so called lender said it will take a extra 15 days to receive the money or I would have to pay extra to receive it faster. I have been calling her non stop she picks up and hangs up. I want her caught. I believe she is working for someone named Bradley Henson because that was who she said my lender was he is located in Canada. He as well needs to be caught. I was suppose to take a trip for my birthday in August and had to cancel. She also took money out my son's mouth. I couldn't buy him clothes for school. THIS FAKE COMPANY NEEDS TO GO DOWN AND PAY EVERYONE BACK I AM TRULY DISGUSTED. PLEASE HELP

You were scammed - there never was a loan

AUTHOR: Denita - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, October 31, 2017

This particular scam has been around for many years. You can go to FTC.gov and read all about financial scams but the pattern is exactly as you describe. There is no company, no business, no loan. It is an individual scammer taking your money. It is called the Advance Fee Loan Scam.  Now that you have fallen for this one, expect to get contacted by other scammers for more money. You probably will also get hit up by the Payday Collection scam since you are on the scammers list.  By the way, don't contact these people. Do what the FTC says about reporting them, but it is doubtful that you will receive any funds back. When someone asks for money up front - they are scammers and it is best to just hang up without sending any funds.
