On Thursday, June 7, 2012 my husband asked our tractor trailer driver to take the truck to have it aligned. My husband received a call and was told there were problems and the "king pins" had to be changed. Eric, the manager, told him if he paid the $1700.00 bill at that time, he would have the truck back by the end of the business day. Today is Saturday June 9th, and we still have no truck.

I went by the establishment this morning at 11:55 to check on the status and to inquire about a time for pick-up. The "tire manager" Eric, would not give me a time for completion. When I shared that was unacceptable, his reply was, " You may call the customer service dept. at 459-2580." When I asked for the owners name and number his reply was, "The owners name is Tune Up Plus." The number is 459-2580. When I inquired about the technician's skills set and his capacity to do the job, he replied,"

We have been in business for 42 years and we have done many jobs like this before. When I asked how long had he been there, he replied, " You may call customer service at 459-2580. This exchange went on for about 15 to 20 minutes. I left after going over to my tractor to take pictures, but did not leave before I was interrupted by him to share I could not be in that area (outside of the bay) due to OSHA regulations. I told him I was not in the body shop and I had a right to be where my truck was. After I took several more pictures I left.

I went back at 3:05 to check on the status and noticed there was someone appearing to be working on the truck. I sat and watched the young man walk every two to three minutes back to the bay from the truck. It was very evident he did not either have the tools required, the skills needed, or the parts to make the repair. When I saw him put the tires on and start the truck to go on a test drive, I thought it was then ready. I noticed it sat for another 15 minutes before I approached Eric again.

This time I asked if it was ready and he responded, "It just needs the alignment now." I went back into the building to wait until it was aligned. At 5:55, and after he had released all other customers, he told me," The truck will not be ready until Monday. We can't get the vehicle in the bay because the vehicle there will not start to be moved." By then I was extremely angry.

He told me I had to leave because they were now closed. I told him I would not leave until my vehicle was released. He went into his office called the owner and refused to release it. When I asked what time it would be ready Monday, he responded, "I don't know." At this time, I called my husband and asked him to contact a tow truck to come and get it. He had his technician to get their roadside service truck out of the bay and block my tractor in. It is now pinned in and can't be moved.

When I called the police, it was very apparent this was not the first time he has had such an encounter. He told the officer he did not have the key to his truck because the technician took it home and noone was to touc his truck. Of course I have pictures of how he pinned the truck in. I'm eager to go to court because this has to stop!!!!
