Before you conduct any business with anyone over the phone you should always research who you are involved with. I'm a parallegal at a Real Estate Law firm in florida and we do modifications for some clients, and a lot of them were previously "scammed" by Hays and Associates, who previously advertised as a Federal modification law firm- there is no such thing as a federal law firm. The Hays who is running that company doesn't even have an active license to practice law, it is suspended every year for failure to pay child support. If you would have checked the California Bar association you would have seen that. In addition, my clients have told me that after they paid they were never able to get ahold of that company again- I have personally called the firm and they never even answer for me, it just goes to voicemail and of course nobody ever calls back. I then got the attornies personal information, including phone number, address, and email address off the california bar association and got my clients refunded in full for their monies paid to him. He is a crook and doesn't even care about his own kids to send child support! My attorney here got involved and threatened law suits and such actions against him in order to keep him from practicing. All of my clients who were with Hays and Associates recieved modifications through my firm within 2 months, and the Bank of America borrowers we had recieved them after 3.5 months (BOA is extremely backed upwith every applying now). Just so you know, California companies are NOT allowed to do modifications anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A month went by after the last time i had left myname and number on their voicemail and a sales rep called me trying to sell me a thorough loan audit to go after my lender for predatory lending to make them "modify me" because apparantly ALL loans have at least 17 violations of RESPA and TIL--- LOL - well I went along with it and got all of his information including his personal cell phone and then reported this individual to the AG of cali as well as the local sherriff's department- I made sure that this company is SHUT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM CALI COMPANIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
