Going back to March 2009, I purchased a Hi Bird product through one of HB MOTO Dealers. I received the bike packaged well with no evident outside package damage from trucking. When removed from the package it was found to have been chipped, scratched and gouged from what looked like assembly neglect. This is only where it starts. Come to notice when attempting to see what was needed on cosmetic that bare wiring was exposed, gas tank mounted directly to metal contacts and the list goes on. Months went by and dozens of emails to HBmoto left me still with no bike to use.

The Dealer, Has also e-mailed and Forwarded all E-Mails to Tony and Tracy Chen at HB MOTO. I got the bike to a paint shop as I was expecting other parts to be shipped when on my short ride home the brakes and wheel bearings failed and by a miracle I made it to the road side shaken up and fortunate not to have hurt me or anyone else. I then contacted HB and was directed to Tracy Chen. Tracy made a rebuttal to this topic from me making them aware. Tracy admitted that there was a problem and if I do not see a ship date by July 14th I can get a refund. The date came and past, attempted to contact and still no reply or parts. I have a bike sitting for four months, registered, insured and not usable. I have all pictures, emails and any other documentation. Please beware, here is a starting list of problems and as you can see from their web page that awareness to some of these problems(and more) are evident:

1. The rear rotor binded up against the bracket as there is no clearance between them and front wheel bearing blown out.

2. Gas tank mount grommets missing
Side engine bolts bent from assembly and hitting on frame
3. Air Cleaner fell apart and glue stuck into intake
4. Key Switch mount plate held in by one bolt, the other broken off inside
5. Wiring repairs and connectors - bare wires twisted together at leaking gas tank.
6. Leaking gas tank fittings
7. Paint work, scratched chrome and gouged metal
8. Broken l/s rear turn signal
9. Not threaded and rusted foot peg assembly

I made a promise to myself to make people aware as I am now stuck with a bike that is useless and unsafe.
