Hello, I am a married homemaker in Philadelphia, PA. I have Two small boys and a baby on the way. I wanted to tell everyone how I caught HBG before they ripped me off! I was looking through the employment guide and i spotted their ad in the paper. everything they had to offer sounded wonderful! me making 700-2,800 a week just stuffing envelopes sounded like it would be very very helpful to my family and i.

So i called 800-685-7049 to ask the rep if i could learn more about working with their company. The woman on the phone just strickly wanted my mailing address, so i gave it to her. I received the information in the mail about three days later. i was excited to see the quick response to them promptly mailing me the information to get me started.

I read the information in the packet and the first thing i noticed was..when asking for a $40.00 payment, one of the options was to send cash!! i mean come on..what professional company would ask you to send cash?? Then i ask myself, if i were to stuff all these envelopes for them and mail them off to the appropriate persons, how will they know it to pay me? Last i asked myself...

Why are these people asking me for money just to work for them? or why cant they take the $40.00 out of my first paycheck? I obviously need a job, why do i have to pay them before working for them? So immediately my husband told me to get online to check them out.

When trying to locate their site, i was re-directed to many other sites that had nothing at all to do with this work-from-home company. So i went to the person that always answer my questions. Askjeeves.com! in the search area i typed in (Is HBG Publications a work from home company?) surely i immediately saw rip-off written all over that company.

I started to read the reports by many people that had been a victim of this scam. So i decided to call the same number again to see the response i would get if i were to ask them "Is this HBG?" I called and the same woman answered the phone, I could tell by her voice from three days ago that it was her. She again agressivly asked for my mailing address as soon as she got on.

Ignoring her, i said "Is this HBG?" She said, "that information is classified". I said, "classified?" your company is asking for my money and your classified?!!! I went on to say, " I am having a little problem locating your website miss, I cant seem to find you anywhere on the web, I received your information in the mail today and decided to look you up."

" She says nervously... uh huh" i scarcasticly when on to say, "I've come to a website that was very helpful though telling me how you prey on innocent people to scam them!!" She studderds saying" Oh, um um i dont know nothing about that" I... I cut her off and said "SWEETHEART, YOU REALLY NEED TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE BETTER TO DO WITH YOUR TIME!! and hung up on her.

So there you have it people. You do have control over what comes in and goes out of your wallet. Dont be a victim to these low life people! And dont fall into scams that ask you for your money knowing your calling them because you need money, how the heck are you going to give money?? Think about it.

I was almost!! a victim here, and i hope this message reaches each and every one of you before you become a victim. Thank you for reading my story. And let's hope that these scam artists are caught, and locked up..FOR GOOD!!
