I am a California resident that was offered a job with HCL America, Inc. in North Carolina

The offer letter included my salary, bonuses and $7000.00 towards my moving expenses from California to Cary, NC.

I was told they needed me as soon as I could get there.

When I arrived there were several other new employees they hired to work on a project. After several days there was 8 of us that were recruited.

The manager was very disorganized, disrespectful and abusive.

He didn’t know what to tell any of us to do. He only gave me a lecture when I asked a question or what he wanted me to do.

This went on for several weeks all the while I was asking how to get reimbursed for my moving expenses.

I was finally told I needed a voucher.  Then I was told it had to be approved by my manager.

All that has been done for several months now but I still have not been paid and there was no opportunity to qualify for the bonuses.

After 3 months all 8 of us were laid off.

I leased an apartment in Cary, NC that I am now stuck for plus my moving expenses back to CA.

HCL America is based in India.

They are very rude and disrespectful, never reply to emails or return phone calls.

HCL’s client was Merz in Raleigh, NC.  I was told by my recruiter that HCL could not get along with Merz and that is why we were all laid off.
