I had a small thinning spot near the front of my hairline. They shaved me from ear-to-ear telling me that the minimum size they offer has to be 3" by 6" -- the hair "system" (as they call it) can't be smaller than that.

I was promised in my first visit that the "new hair" would look, feel, behave as my own did. That was a lie. I asked for straight hair and was consistently sent extremely wavy, curly, frizzy - you name it and I got it. One even looked like the end of a horses tail. My stylist said he wasn't certain just WHAT it was and that it didn't look like human hair to him either!

Every time I complained about the type of hair they had sent, I was told that I wasn't using all of their hair products properly. Can you believe? No one ever took responsibillity for their mistakes -- it was ALWAYS my fault.

I recently quit the hair club when they breached their contract for the umpteenth time. I went to another hair club and was told that they would make me a "system" exactly the same size as the area on my head that was thinning. I am now in the process of re-growing the hair that was shaved off.

We have retained an attorney here in Minneapolis and are in the process of filing a class-action lawsuit.

Wow...just wow!

I have been a client for approx. 20 years and have NEVER experienced any of these types of employees or atitudes, they were up front with me about costs and expectations, they still are.

Of course, on occasion there would be a mix up here or there, but nothing like these testimonials.

I am just a normal guy, but if HCM was anything like these people mention, i would have experenced it somewhere along the line in 20 years, I have used both the San Francisco and Sacramento facilities and have been happy with both.

I am a very picky consumer when it comes to my hair, they have always treated me fairly.

Overall, I am a very happy member!

Hair Club victims united. Is there any smart lawyer willing to help win this case. There are tons of victims all over the world!

AUTHOR: xllaurador - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, February 03, 2012

On April 2nd 2011, I visited HCW in Bloomington MN just for an initial consultation. I knew I wasn't that bald since I'm only a 27 , but their specialized equipment showed me different. I was shocked and depressed, I started crying immediately. I wanted hair transplant immediately, even If I had to pay for it the rest of my life.

Chandra Loney was the name of the consutant who took me to a private room, isolated from other clients. She said If I decided to use their Bio-matrix, I will have to sign an agreement to request thru Citi healthcard $1500 that same day and will repay Citibank without interest if paid witihin a year. She also said that an additional $500 must be paid within 10 days to her so she can order the hair.

So much pressure in a depressing moment made me sign that paper. Then a hairstylist came in to show me the different hair colors available to match my hair. It didn't cross my mind that this may be a rip off until I heard the hairstylist and the consultant act extremely corteous, and I mean extemely! She informed my initial application will be on April 20th 2012 and I must come back every month and pay $90 to style my hair with their products. I live three hours from that place!

I got out of that office as quick as posible, ran to my computer and google rip off reports. Mother ######! , thats the first thing that came to my mind. Not only because of they lied to me or because they charged me right away, but because their agreement says to cancel within 3 days, my appointment was on a Saturday afternoon and they don't open until Tuesday. No one answer the phone to me after that. So I email them.

The consultant called me on April 16th by noon and asked me to pay her $2,000 by phone so she can order the hair. I told her I called to cancel the agreement and she never answered, that she already got $1500 from me and I will report her. She said that no oral promises are valid in the agreement and no services will be provided afte six months of the date in the agreement. She also said HCW may file a lawsuit to collect the money.

I contacted her supervisor, Minnesota Attorney General, Citibank and no one could help. I haven't even receive any services from them and I'm still paying the d**n credit card, which I better pay off this month because I'm pretty sure the interest will be very high. I still wonder if Citibank has some kind of alliance with HCW. I used to work for this bank a few years ago and they had multiple law suits while changing company name, such as "Primerica". They do recruitment presentations, mostly for college students and work hard to convince them to pay a $1000 quote to join them and recruit others. Another bussiness pyramid crap.

I haven't heard nothing from Hair Club in a year, but I really wish I could get my $1,500 back. I really learned the lesson about scams. My hair may still fall, but I gain confidence and learned how to style it better with Joan Rivers hair powder. If any lawyer read this reports, do you have any idea how much money you could make with this case? There are tons of victims all over the world. Hair Club and lawyers care less about people emotions, it's all about money, but at least lawyers get us some money back. Please Help!!!

Please contact me about taking further action to file a lawsuit against these people. I used them in Missouri and filed a huge complaint with the attorney general where in reply they just lied.

Best to post your own Ripoff Report about them so then we can get an attorney. That attorney can contact Ripoff Report to make arrangements to contact anyone that had the same issues.

After my horrific experience with Hair Club for Women (posted on this site, Hillside Woman) please read. I have contacted all media in Chicago and sent letters and have retained an attorney. I don't want to see another individual expereince teh tragedy that we all have. I discovered your man stories after the fact and I must say I cried and am more than apalled.

I'd like to join your class action suit and suggest the other victims do so also, there is power in numbers and we need all the power to go against this giant. Please respond and we can connect with our attorneys. Thank you

Hair Club For Men and Women Fraud

AUTHOR: Alvin - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 06, 2007

Little Rock Hairclub for men in Arkansas is the biggest scam out there taking advantage of men and women that are dealing with the problem of prematue hairloss. They use the old bait and switch method. I had been shaving my head for years and missed my hair. I talked to my wife and she said to go in for their hair consultation. I really wanted a transplant not a glue on toupee. The consultant looked at my shaved head as soon as I walked into the salon and she said that I was not a candidate for a transplant. So I listened and said ok well how much is the plan? She said it was about 1200.00 for the initial visit and 65 to 95 dollars every 4 weeks for salon visits and upkeep. The hair that they initally showed me was soft and looked good. The hair that they put on my head must have come from the back of a silverback gorilla. It was horrible, so they said I should try the diamond program and get unlimited visits and 12 replacement heads of hair a year. The problem was that this hair plan was 455.78 per month! I was stupid and used that plan for about 8 months and 4,000.00 dollars later. I could have gotten a Bosley hair transplant for 6,000.00. I was a fool and was taken by these people. I am usually very scam proof but they had pretty girls that were nice to you and played to your ego and it worked for a short time. You are paying someone these outrageous prices to wash and cut your hair and put on your wig. To top it all off when I finally decided to give them notice that I would not be coming back the Hairclub consultant went out of the office and charged my credit card one more time for a full payment. I went back to shaving my head...just a little poorer.

I to was Ripped off by HCM in Minneapolis. Please help me!

I was a client also. They really got a lot of money off me. It seems like nothing they said was upfront. Rebecca, how can somebody get a hold of you or your attorney? I would like to go in on this lawsuit. Like you they blamed everything on my lack of using thier products. I will tell you what. I used thier products just like the stupid handbook they gave me told me to. In just a few years they have taken $10,000 grand from me. I rememebr the first meeting I just had to be a club member ($1,200) and pay like $50.00 every three months after. Then they shave your hair off on top and the next time you come in they ask you for $340.00. I was supposed to have brown hair. The color they put on me was like auburn!
