Steer clear of doing business with any Harvest Development or HD Companies.  The names and the companies are convoluted but they all trace back to one man, Jim Rich.  Mr. Rich works hard to remove postings by his harsh critics while posting fake positive ones about his companies. The truth is the man manages risk for a living and these companies are just hobbies for him.  This means if you sign a lease or agreement to do business with any of his companies YOU will be the one taking all the risk and he will be absolved of performance due to the agreement.  The owner of Forudad was his right hand man until he turned management of his units over to Mr. Rich's property management company.  Forudad obtained all building permits for construction and remodel of HD Properties and has persuided investors to give Mr. Rich money to further the investments.  Forudad has removed their properties from HD Management because they were not managed professionally and HD was unable to occupy thier fringe properties.  Considering the amount of business Mr Rich did with Forudad, I think the fact that they removed management of their properties away from Harvest Development I,II,III; HD Omaha and HD Professional services, speaks volumes about Mr. Rich's inability to foster relationships and only watch the bottom line while holding himself harmless.  Although Mr. Rich has tried to supress them, the many negative reviews and comments about how he manages his business are still there as are published articles about the problems he causes in the neighborhoods he buys properties.

Unless you want to live in a rodent and bug infested property that lacks proper HVAC or quality construction, I suggest you stay away from anything Mr. Rich has his hands in.

#2 REBUTTAL Individual responds

This is not a review by a disgruntled employee

AUTHOR: Results of Retaliation - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, August 24, 2017

Contrary to the spin Jim Rich puts on reviews by his critics, this is not a report by a disgruntled employee.  This is a report to warn any future potential employees, business partners or renters how Jim Rich operates his business.

I was hired by and reported directly to Jim Rich.  I worked hard to set out goals for the first 90 days so I could be successful in my job at HD Omaha.  This lasted for about 30 days and after that, nothing was good enough for Mr. Rich.

Soon after I started to work for Jim Rich he revealed to me that he has aspbergers.  This did not deter me from continuing to work for Jim Rich because I have an honorary nephew with aspbergers who is attending UNO on a Regent's Scholarship.

I was under contract to purchase a house and used a real estate agent that Jim Rich purchased approximately 100 houses from.  The agent's wife was Guatemalan and the real estate agent told me that every time he showed Jim a house he would ask "How man Guatemalan's can I get in here?"

I was approved for a mortgage from a local community bank.  When the bank officer found out I worked for HD Omaha he informed me that he had to deny Mr. Rich a loan on the Ekard Court project because the company was set up in a way that it was too risky of an investment for the bank.

When the local community bank called Jim Rich for employement verification the day before I was to close, Mr. Rich fired me in an act of retaliation to keep me from closing on the house.  I formally invited Mr. Rich to participate in Mediation which is a cost effective, non-contentious form of dispute resolution.  Further, I gave Mr. Rich the opportunity to pick the mediator and I offered to pay for half of all the associated costs myself.  Mr. Rich chose to retaliate and fire me instead.

This is an honest, factual and true rebuttal.  I strongly recommend that anyone thinking about working for or renting from Jim Rich or HD Omaha consider all available options before getting into a situation where you will be treated unfairly and retaliated against.

#1 UPDATE Employee ..inside information

Inaccurate

Please cease creating accounts and publishing the same review under false names. This complaint (or a modified version of it) is published between 2 to 4 times a month accross various reviewing sites. Permits were acquired through HD Omaha companies and it's banking partners, which is a matter of public record easily accessible online at each address location owned by HD Omaha. Funding has also not occured through Forudad, but is instead a mix of private investment and local banks. The loan information and purchase records are also freely available public information via the tax assessors office. Furthermore, HD Omaha also has vacancy rates on parr with the Omaha market. Finally, HD Omaha has recieved extensive, positive press coverage including, but not limited to, the Omaha World Herald, the Washington Times, Inspired Living, and Omaha Magazine. City Council members have gone on record praising the new developments. Again, cease your postings.
