This complaint is in regards to Heald College. I was told by a counselor that I was going to receive a grant to help me pay for my classes. They also told me that I was promised a job when I graduated and that I was not going to pay very much for my training. I told them I didn't want to register for the 18 months, because it would be to expensive, but they encouraged me to do the 18 months and that they would help me with the finances by setting me up with grants.

each class is only 3 quarters which does not give a person enough time to learn. Not to mention, we had all these holidays that interfered with not having enough training time. Some of the teachers were not helpful and expected you to know your work. In some classes they would not fully explain the work we were to do which made it impossible to get a good grade. I had no job and was legally separated from my spouse.

When I found out by several of my classmates that they did not have to pay student loans or any loan at all, I was very upset. When I graduated from Heald in 2006, They sent me to Manpower, a temp agency. I was assigned temporary positions which barely paid my bills. I would make the effort to call Manpower every time my assignment was over, because someone else could beat me to another assignment.

When I went back to Heald to tell my counselor I was not getting hired permanently and that I wanted a permanent job and if they could find me something better, my counselor told me; "I should be glad I am even working." I was so up set that I cried, because now I was stuck with thousands of dollars to a loan that I am not able to pay. And now, I have been unemployed since 2010. Heald says; "Get in, Get out and Get ahead." I say; "Get in, Get out and Get in debt."
