I placed an order for the induction cooker on 8/24/13. I was given a conf. # and all was good. I received a call on Sept 4 from a girl who said that my debit card declined and that I needed to give another number so that my order would ship. I told her I would check my bank statement and give nuwave a call back. She persisted so I told her to cancel my order. I called the number she called from to verify that it was in fact coming from Nuwav. It was so "Enough said", or so I thought! On Sept 20, 2013 I went to the grocery store, did my shopping as I usually do every other week only to get to the checkout and my debit card declined! I went to pick my son up from school and went immediately home; jumped on my computer and pulled up my bank card activity….. You CANNOT IMAGINE my shock when I saw that on Sept 17, 2013 I had a charge appear on my debit card for $189.84! I immediately called the number on my bank statement. I spoke to Charles who said that my order was never cancelled. He then proceeded to say that the order had already shipped so there was nothing he could do. I told him that the order was cancelled nearly two weeks ago so I should never have been charged in the first placed. I got mad and he said that he would have billing call me back. I told him that this was a very urgent matter because we would not be able to eat and I couldn’t buy groceries until I got this cleared up. No one called me back!!!! I called a number that I found on Rip-off report for Hearthwave. I got Carina on the phone. She found the  She started looking and said that my order would not be refunded because, low and behold, it was delivered today! I asked her to where? And who signed for it because there was no one home at my house?! She said it  was put at the side door; I DON’T HAVE A SIDE DOOR!!! I told her that I cancelled my order on the 4th and she said that it didn’t get put in the system and that they would automatically pull from my bank account no matter what! WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS PRACTICE IS IT WHEN YOU CANCELL AN ORDER AND TWO WEEKS LATER THEY CHARGE YOU FOR IT ANYWAY? I am furious and I will be contacting my bank and disputing the charge since I cancelled the order well in advance of the charges taking place and I did not receive a shipment. It sounds awful convenient to me that on the very day I call they say it already shipped then no more  than an hour later it was miraculously delivered!!!! I am reporting this cracked-up business to the BBB and contact an attorney to help me!
