I was verbally assaulted and my life was threatened in the parking lot of HEB at Wilcrest and Westheimer in front of a security guard while holding my 2 year old son. The security guard did NOTHING!!. When I left the store, I found that the unstable "woman" that harrassed me had damaged my property by keying my truck. Calls to the store manager resulted in being told, that essentially, the sercurity cameras were non-operational and that the security office had lied about where he was. Calls to the corporate office were directed to a customer service agent who kept stating she would make sure my complaint was documented "in the report" although I specifically requested to speak to a Corporate Officer. I guess HEB cares very little for the safety of their customers. ATTENTION MOTHERS WITH CHILDREN, Park and shop at your own risk - DO NOT rely on their so-called security officers to be on the look out for your safety.

What kind of ignorant jerk response is that? Her car was keyed in the parking lot and she should "suck it up and get some mace"? Are you really that stupid? Come on man... if you aren't going to tell the lady something constructive then just keep it to yourself. Nobody likes a troll.

Others Should Be Warned

@kingsizepoops: How is that helpful?
I take my personal safety and that of my children very seriously. If a business will not take some responsibility in the security of their patrons, especially when they boast the use of security cameras (which were incidentally non-operational at the time) and security officers, others should be warned. Which is what I am doing. This is especially true when innocent children are also put into jeopardy.
A security guard should simply not stand there while a customer's life is being threatened. At the very least he could have tried to de-escalate the situation or called the police. After all, he is a security guard, meaning his job description entails ensuring the security and safety of the store and its patrons. It is against the law not to report a crime. Threats of fatal injury are a crime. He should have at the very least reported it. It was not reported to anyone until I did so.

So based on what you wrote here you want people to believe that you were just walking through the parking lot and this woman started to harrass you for absolutly no reason at all. Then again for no reason at all she decided to "key" your truck.
You sure you want to stick to that story?
I wonder how "threatened" you actually felt. Because if you were truly afraid you would have made an issue of it when you went into the store(ie calling the police or having them call the police for you).
