I called Heights Finance to discuss getting a personal loan through them. I spoke with Dan Smith. At first everything was fine, he asked me the basic questions that each loan person would.

He began to ask me who I worked for of course, and I had to tell him three times throughout the conversation, which seemed to bother me a little bit. He wanted to know there name, address, phone number because they have to contact to verify employment. I told him that I do have a contract withe the school.

I also told him that I have another job, which he said I don't have to claim it if I don't want too. I decided it would probably be best. That we would get by without it.

Next, he also asked me my landlords name, and I gave it to him, but I asked him if he would have to call him. He said probably not because you have only lived in the area for about 3 weeks.

I told him that I would appreciate it if he wouldn't contact him because I don't want everyone to know that I was taking out a personal loan. I just perfer not everyone knowing my personal information.

He was rude to me throughout the conversation. I just perfered him not to call everyone about my information, such as my landlord.

Then he said that he would run my credit and contact my employment. I then got off the phone upset because of the conversation because he seemed very rude to me. Not even 1 minute later, I called him and asked him if he needed to contact my employment or could he just see my contract from the public school that I worked for.

He said yes, I have to contact the school... and he was very rude about this. He said a lot of people come in here and give us pay stubs from places that they supposivly work at, and they really don't even work there. I told him, that you mean my school contract won't work. He said no, you know what I think that we should just cancel the whole thing in general because your acting secretive about the whole thing anyways. This was totally unprofessional for him to say that. I wasn't secretive,

I am just careful about my personal business and information. I prefered that he would not contact everyone about me getting personal loan.

Then he was upset and he started saying, well you know what you have insufficient funds. I was confused. I asked him what that meant and he said you have insufficient funds. I asked again because I didn't understand what he was talking about. He said basically your denied a loan here. I said how can I be denied when you didn't even have a minute to run my credit application. I was only off the phone with him for one minute.

I believe he was just upset because of everthing that he just denied me himself. I have good credit, I didn't understand. We then got off the phone with each other and my boyfriend called back to get his information. He was very rude to my boyfriend and said, "Yeah, you can get my name and my supervisor's name it ain't gonna matter buddy." This guy was supposivly the manager of this store, how can a manager talk to a customer that way??

My boyfriend then called the supervisor, Mike Hammer, which is the district manager. My boyfriend complained that the manager of St. Peters store was very unprofessional with my girlfriend, and stated unreasonable comments to her such as she is being secretive etc...

I then spoke with Mike and he said that he would call and find out why I was denied. He said that he would also speak to the manager.

Then he called me back and said that my credit report debt to income was to high. I told him that he probably didnt' run my report till later because he knew we were going futher with case. I then told him that I was filing a report with the better business buereu because of the unprofessionalism that was given on the phone from his manager at the St. Peters office.
