Heilig Meyer paid payment, plus some every month and now they say we haven't paid anything. Sent to collections and we don't owe them anything. Hollister California

We bought some furniture in 1999. we only had a few payments when they disappeard off the face of the earth. We were then sent to collections. They had the full amount of the purchase in collections. That was wrong. years later when another company had the account I reluctantly paid another 2 or 3 payments. I new that was all we really had left to pay. Well now they are still calling and still saying we owe them in full. I think the collection agency and lawyers should be going after Heilig meyer for fraud. They have threatened to take of to court. I told them go ahead they have to prove I didn't pay it. I'm extremely mad and I know I'm not the only one this had happened to. I know people in my town that it has happened to.
