may,2015

i called and asked herbert performance camshaft company,to make me a bbc billet roller camshaft with a cast distributor gear. they said yes we can do that,no problem.

  two months go by with same excuses every week why its not done. then they send me a camshaft that is not what i paid for.

  i call and tell them this is not what i paid for and they say tuff and hang up on me. i continue to call and explain what they have done to me and they keep on saying they cant help me.

  so this company can not do the right thing. all they have to do is admit they could not deliver what i paid for and refund my money. but they refuse to do the right thing.

  this company has wasted over two months of my time so far. know i dont know how much more time will be wasted trying to get my refund. and after that i have to pay a different company to make the camshaft for me and wait another 6-8 weeks. so herbert performance has easily wasted a full year of my time by being a rip off company.

i was told no problem we do this all the time.it was supposed to be delivered in three weeks. thats when i first called,then came three weeks of the same lie that its been damaged we are cutting another. then after three weeks of that same lie they say it cant be built at all. meanwhile i have three other cam companys that can and will build it for same price. but i chose this company because ive purchased from them before.

 so believe me i promise you this tim habiuk sales person is the one who told me to suck his...and cussed me then hung up on me well over three seperate times. i had to make three calls before this irrate sales person would finally shut the hell up and listen to how the other cam companys were able to do it. because he just kept talking over me saying it cant be done. and i kept trying to tell him there not doing it your way. and it took three calls because he is always loud and irrate over this.

  believe me it makes no sense but he is the only one thats been disrespectfull. in the end i told him if you think your so tuff then lets meet up. but i never started this trouble. and i was the one with patients waiting two months before asking for a refund,at that point they dumped a standard cam on me and said sorry no refunds. im not the first customer to go through this and i wont be the last. i will forever spread this message to never purchase from this company. its too risky. they cant be trusted.

 so sit back and watch how they cant do the right thing.thats all it comes down to. pathetic people period.

Herbert Cams values our customers and always try to go above and beyond to make our customers satisfied.
May 15, 2015 Mr. Cox placed an order for a custom made camshaft and lifters. The customer was notified since these parts were special order and custom made that there would be a lead time for these parts.
The lifters were shipped via Fed Ex and were delivered to Cox on 6-23-15
There was issues with the custom camshaft that was being built for Cox. The cam was delivered to Cox on 7-10-15.
Once customer took delivery of camshaft he was not happy that the cam did not have a pressed on cast gear. This option was not available for this special journal size camshaft.
Customer acknowledged cam was correct specifications but he was unhappy that gear was not cast. There was never any mention of any problem with the lifters.
To solve the issue we agreed to supply the customer with a composite material distributor gear at no cost. This gear would eliminate any problem that may have been perceived by customer. Retail value on composite gear is apx $140 and was sent at no charge to customer to try and solve any problem.
At the same time customer became belligerent and violent. Customer communicated threats to several employees that were trying to help him through this situation. Customer promised to come to shop or send others to shop to inflict harm and violence. At this point we decided that nothing more could be done to help this customer and since have avoided contact with this customer.
The end result is that customer has received ALL parts that were ordered and paid for additionally we also sent the customer additional parts for goodwill customer service.
Customer is possession of ALL parts, No parts were ever returned and therefore no refund is due.
We care for our customer and always try to go above and beyond but when a customer communicates threats we have to stop further dealings.

after three more phone calls i finally got the irate tim habiuk sales rep at doug herbert to close his mouth and listen to me. and he finally agreed that he was wrong and claimed he would refund. but i said you cant be trusted so put that agreement in writeing first. he refused and then backed out of that deal and went back to sorry no refund.

  which no refund has no case because they never delivered what i paid for in the first place. so you cant take payment for a item then send a different item and say no refund. but thats what tim habiuk at doug herbert performance has done to me. i paid $1700. to be scammed by this company.

  ive talked to other big companys that have did business with doug herbert and they all say that doug herbert himself tells his sales staff to treat customers this way. no one was surprized when i told them my story.

  this company needs to be shut down.

  this punk tim habiuk sales rep. that has cussed me out over three different times useing sexual references. i stopped him and said do you realize you will get fired for this,and he said with absolute confidence no i wont and he repeated that no i wont.

  so the others are right doug herbert has to be supporting this behavior.

  send help we need to stop this company from robbing again and again.
