*Briefly Explain your complaint:
To whom it may concern: I'm writing because I'm having a problem with getting my transmission fix on my 95 Yukon.

First of all, I brought my car from Car City USA in Tacoma on 06/07/03 and also a warranty through Heritage/Dura Lube. Mike at Car City USA told me that I needed to get a tube up and to hold on to all my receipts in case my transmission and/or engine was to go out so they would be covered.

Mike at Car City USA never told me that I would be getting the Dura Lube in the mail, which I never received it anyway. My boyfriend was with me at the time I purchase my car too and heard the same thing. Mike told me that I would received a welcome letter and other information from Heritage on what to do if I was to have a brake down, never anything about Dura Lube additive.

About 2 1/2 weeks or so I called Heritage to see if my alternator would be covered because it went out, at that time I had to verify my information again, and also I had a contractor through Heritage called Roadside Assistants come to my job because my car would not start, they jump it and my boyfriend fix my alternator for me, so my address was still current at that time. Around August 13th I was finishing moving, I called Heritage and updated my new address around the 9th of August or so again. I got my tune up I was informed that my car was in good condition and the only thing I needed was new tires.

About 1 1/2 months ago my transmission went out and I called Heritage to see if they had any recommendations that they contract through and they told me AAMCO, So I called Tom at AMMCO in Bellevue,WA and told them I had a contract thought Heritage and Tom told me that he deals with Heritage and that he will tow my car to their office and take a look at it, which they did. Tom called me a couple of days later and ask me do I have the receipt for the Dura Lube that Heritage sent to me. I told him that I didn't know I was suppose to get anything an additive called Dura Lube. I thought that was just the name of the with the contract.

I fax over the tune up that I had done on my car from Firestone to Tom. I also called at Car City USA and talk with Mike and told him that my car is not going to get fix because I never put in Dura Lube and that I was never informed by him that I should of did so when I brought my car. He said that he will have it look into it because my file is at the owner house and he's on vacation until Friday.

I informed him that I was never told by him that I suppose to get that in the mail. He also said that they ended their contract with Dura Lube because too many of their clients wasn't getting their car covered when it went out. I was dazed, and very upset and ask how is my car going to get fix I paid for this contract which was 1595.00. He told me again the owner is out of town and I have to wait until he comes back so he can get my file from his house to look at.

I have been called and have not had any success with getting the information I requested. Anyways, I called Heritage and spoke with numerous costumer service reps and finally I spoke with Candy I supervisor and she told my that she will have to call to warehouse and get the tracking number which is 064590230372056 number phone 1-800-GOFEDEX address PO BOX 108 Pittsburgh, PA 15230, and that she will call me back.

She called me back stated that the Dura Lube was sent to my address on 07/29/03 and it was sent back damage and in another box, and that somebody named Paul Kane at my address sign for it and send it back on 08/07/03 in another box. I told her that not true, because I've left at that address for 5 years and nobody name Paul Kane lives at that building, and my landlords would have sign for it if anything came for any of the residents.

So I called Fed Ex to see what happened and was informed by the supervisor Kari that Fed Ex sent back the package that it was never sent to my address because it was damage and that Fed Ex put it in a different box and Paul Kane which was the sender at Media Group sign for it.

So I had Fed Ex sent a letter and proof of delivery to Candy, and still she said that my car wasn't going to get fix, and I had 30 day to put the Dura Lube in my car and have the receipt to show it was put in. I told her if I got the product in the mail I would have put in. I was still leaving back and forth from that address and my new address but I never received it, and now I'm left in the cold like it was my fault.

She said in their computer system showed it was sent out to my address and that's what there going by, and it not there fault, I asked her why wasn't another one sent to me if that was sent back damaged she said that its not her responsibly, and she said that they out send one, and wasn't going send out another one. I told her let me call Fed Ex while she was on the phone and she declined to do that. I had my boyfriend also on my other phone listen and explaining to her that it was never sent to my address and that was never informed that we was going to even get Dura Lube. She became very upset, and said that she don't appreciated me putting somebody else one the phone while were talking and that the conversation is basically over.

She called back and said she talk with Paul the Manager, and he said that he will not approve my car getting fix either. Perry and Tom at AAMCO told me that regardless if I put the additive in my car my transmission would of went out anyways it was old and that they will give my the necessary paper work stated there findings.

So I need help to resolve this problem. I paid for a service and I expected to receive some honesty. I feel like I've been a victim of a scam artist and its not fare to me. I did anything on my part. Please help me. Thanks for your time. Heritage Address is: 8055 O Street Lincoln, NB 68510 Phone Number 402-436-2345 or 402-489-7777, and fax number is 402-489-2732

Blame your dealer

AUTHOR: Fred - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, May 25, 2004

Blame your dealer for not telling you that you should expect a product in the mail. If he had done his job and told you then when you did not get the product a trace would have been done then and you would have gotten the product and had coverage.

It's bad to blame a company that follows procedures when it was the guy who sold you the plan that didn't do his job!!!
