Last year I ordered several Wacoal bras from HerRoom trying to figure out what size I needed. I returned the bras that did not fit in 2 separate boxes, a couple of days apart. I used THEIR "just put it back in the mailbox" prepaid shipping label for the return.
Six weeks went by and no refund. I finally called them and they said that they had never received EITHER box, they were not responsible, and I was S.O.L. because I didn't buy insurance. Period. This was almost $250 worth merchandise. What are the chances of the US postal service loosing both boxes? And since when do I have to buy insurance to keep from getting ripped off on a return?
I contacted my credit card company to try to get any part of my refund and they were unbelievably nasty to both my credit card company and the BBB. Their responses were full of personal attacks and they tried to paint me as some kind of scam artist. My credit card company was so shocked that they decided to eat the cost and refund my money themselves, and told me never to deal with them again.
I have NEVER been treated so badly by any net company before or since, and I shop online a lot.
BUYER BEWARE!

I don't know where you shop for your bras online, but I have NEVER seen a high end lingerie shop that didn't accept returns. I just looked, and I couldn't find a single one.
Maybe if you had looked up the website BEFORE you flamed me, you would have found that Herroom does not sell the cheap porn outfits that you apparently think all lingerie shops are. These are the only ones that I know of that do not accept returns.
I also don't know why you think these stores are required by law to dump returns in the trash. I know people that liquidate these types of return items on Ebay, and I KNOW they are not breaking any laws.

Tracking number?

Well, your first mistake was not purchasing insurance before mailing your $250 worth of merchandise. But ... did you spend the extra 39 cents for a delivery confirmation/tracking number? If you did - then you would be able to prove that they did or did not receive your returned merchandise. If you did not - then you have absolutely no proof that they did receive it and thus can't claim that you were "ripped off."
Also - does this vendor even accept returns on bras? Most vendors, both online and storefront, DO NOT allow returns of bras, underpants, and other intimate garments due to federal health laws. If they do not accept returned bras yet you returned them anyway, you will not be getting your money back since they were forced, by law, to dump your returned garments in the trash.
