hewlett-packard hp/hp deskjet/hp computers refused help on brand new product. agreed to pay for help after lengthy discussion. then they hung up. palo alto, California

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

 I have a brand new printer that won't work....I repeat brand new ...as in taken out of a sealed box two days ago...
after following all the instructions...and going to their website  for help..and downloading all of that"help"...it still doesn't work...

So I call customer service...And they tell me..my new printer is not "new" because it was manufactured in china in 2011...by this time we have been on the phone for over an hour and all the "service" representative does is keep repeating himself...

I inform him that it wasn't purchased the day it was manufactured....but now I'm told there is no warranty on this new product...

he agrees that it was never registered...that they have no record of this unit...but you have to pay them to make it work...

By now I'm pissed...and I make him aware of it...he says he understands...puts me on hold...

comes back on repeats himself again...you have to pay us to make it work...

I reluctantly agree...tell him that I will never get another hp product ever...he starts to take payment info....and then hangs up...

No help ....no info...no working printer....

I really don't think he cared at all...he repeated himself so many times it was like he was a robot..

or maybe he just wanted to see how angry he could get me after I said I'd never use any hp products again...

Hp does not  stand by their products...they are just interested in gouging you for ink..

No matter what was said on my part ...all they wanted was a fee to "help" me ....

And to top it all off during the conversation I was informed that if they "helped" me and the printer still didn't work...I "might" be able to get a refund...I repeat might be able..no promise of anything...

no promise that my new printer will work...no help...and no promise even after you pay...
