I have a dryer that is under an extended warranty. It was purchased at an HH Gregg Appliance Store. When I called to report dryer was not working HH Gregg sent a technician. Technician diagnosed the problem and reported he would be back in a week to repair the dryer. After 10 days I called back and was told that the parts were not available. After another week I called again and was told parts had to be re-ordered, but would be available in a week. After another week, I called back again and they reported another part had to be re-ordered and it would take as long as another week.

After 25 days from the date the technician first came to my home, I called again and they reported that the part was reordered again (today) and it would be another week or more. HH Gregg gave me another number to call and register a complaint with. I called this numer and it was GE Zurich and spoke with someone who said they would find a technician and call me in 2-3 days. After already waiting 25 days I did not think it was appropriate to have to wait another 2-3 days just to hear that someone would be able to check the dryer and diagnose again. I then asked to speak to a complaint/customer service department and was transferred to very rude lady named Debbie who reported that my dryer could never be replaced until many service calls were completed. She told me I could not do anything about the situation. She also reported that there was no one else to complain to, that she was the supervisor. She refused to give me the name of anyone else who might help expedite the process. She also did not want to take a number to reach me during the day. She said I should have an answering machine if I wanted to get called back. Finally she agreed to take my work number. After 25 days I am still waiting for a dryer repair/replacement which is what the extended warranty is supposed to pay for. It has been very costly to take my clothing to a laundromat every week to dry them.
