On 11/13/04 we purchased a LG front load washer and dryer along with the "5 year protection plus" warranty for both. On 8/29/06 the washer stopped working. We contact cutomer serivce on 8/30/06 to request repair thru our extented warranty. We were told that we would receive a call within 24 hours from the repair tech.
On 9/1/06 we contacted customer service back as it had now been 48 hours and we had not received a call from the repair tech. A 3 way call was made between HH Gregg, my husband and the repair tech, B. Lee. Mr. Lee stated he had spoken with us and we had scheduled an appoitment for that same day and then we canceled it, my husband explained that was not true and was then told that he would get a call back that night to schedule an appoitment.
The next morning we had not received a call so I contacted Mr. Lee myself and left a message because after contacting HH Gregg customer service I was told they did not know why I had not received a call back and all they could do was give me the repair tech's number.
Tuesday 9/5/06 we had still not received a call from Mr. Lee so we again contacted HH Gregg customer service on 9/6/06 and requested a different repair company and we were again told we would receive a call within 24 hours.
On the evening of 9/7/06 we had once again not received a call from anyone so my husband contacted the HH Gregg store that we purchased the washer and dryer from and spoke with a store manager, Josh, he explained the situation and was told by Josh that he would personaly contact us the next day.
On 9/8/06 when we had not received a call from Josh my husband again called the store that we purchased from and was told that Josh was not there and the store manager at that time was not available. My husband explained the situation to the girl on the phone and asked for a regional managers name and number she stated she did not know that information.
I sent an email to HH Gregg customer service on Monday 9/11/06 explaining all of the events leading up to this, in the limited amount of space available, and the response I received was that we needed to call Mr. Lee as he had been trying to reach us. We have caller ID on both numbers we gave them and have NOT been contacted by ANYONE, not Mr. Lee, not the other repair company, and NOT HH Gregg!
Not only do the products at HH Gregg obviously not withstand normal usage the "5 year protection plus" warrenty is a COMPLETE rip off because you will NEVER get anyone to come repair anything!
