Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

My husband and I went to HHGregg to look at their washing machines. We were approched as soon as we made it in the door. We asked to be left alone to look and we would come get the salesman if we had a question. We decided on a washer  for 660.00 and the pedestal for 209.00.  When we went to check out the salesman tried to sell us the upgrade hoses for the washer for 19.99 and the warrenty. We said no!.  So, he puts the hoses on the counter and says "they're on me".  The girl at the register says she will have to ring up the hoses but, will turn around and take them back off.  She gives my husband the receipt and we take the washer home. When we get home I take a look at the receipt and there is the charge for 19.99 for the hoses but,  I can't see where she took the hoses back off. I call HHgregg and I am told that she took the 19.99 of of the pedestal. The receipt shows she charged me 209.00 for the pedestal so I am confused and tell her so.  She informs me the pedestal they gave me was a upgrade and it costs 239.99 and they took the credit for the hoses off the cost of the pedestal. At this point, I am furious. So, we load up the pedestal and take it back. (it looks totally different that the one I chose. The pedestal I chose matched the one I have for my dryer). We are there over thirty minutes with the cashier to get credit for the pedestal and the hoses.  I tried explaining that they should not have upgraded the pedestal without letting me know. Especially since it was not the same price and it did not look the same.   She  then asked if I returned the hoses. I told her the salesman said they were on him.  They are at home attached to the washer. She asked for our card and gives me the paperwork for the credit.  We go home and I check the account. There is a charge for the 935.00 for everything but no credit for the returns.   We purchased the items on Sunday the 7th.  I check on Monday afternoon, and there is still no credit. My husband calls the store on Tuesday and the manager says they are sending me a check.  So, he calls the main office and talks to someone there.  The representative at the main office says she can take care of it. That it's a new manager in training at the store and she will handle it. She tries telling my husband that it can take several days to have the credit show up but she will be sure our account is credited.  My husband handles credits for the business where he works and we are not stupid.      Today is Friday and there is still no credit to our account yet.   THE CHARGE SHOWED UP WITHIN A HOUR OF PURCHASE BUT THE CREDIT FOR THE RETURN IS STILL NOT SHOWING ON THE ACCOUNT.        It's the last time I will purchase anythin from HHGregg.  I will also be sure no one else I know goes there either.
