I purchased a Frigidaire stove from these crooks on June 11, 2004, and was asked if I wanted to purchase an extended service plan. I asked the salesman who was named Dave Glassburg if the warranty ran concurrent or consecutively with the warranty already in place by the manufacturer's warranty which was a year. I was told that That was separate, and the extended warranty,(which cost me another $99.99), would protect my purchase until June 12, 2010.

Well on July 19, 2009, the door to my stove would not close, because of the hinges. I contacted HHGregg and was told that I was still under warranty, and was given the number to the repair department and also given my invoice number to get the stove repaired. I call Monday morning, give the information so I can get the stove repaired, and was told that I was not under warranty!!!

What I am trying to get someone to tell me, is what happen to the original manufacturer's warranty, and no one can tell me. It seems to me that if I had the original one year warranty, and purchased the 5 year extended warranty, that gave me a total of 6 years, due to the fact that the extended one ran consecutively. All they tell me is that it started from the day of purchase. If so, they had to have included the warranty that the original in to the extended one, and actually I paid for a four year plan instead of a 5 year plan. What is the definition of extended? The paper I got states that this protection supplements the manufacturer's warranty. Supplement means to add on or extra, doesn't it? I hope these crooks meet the same fate as Circuit City!!!!
