Two employees of the company stole almost $1000 of coins from a widowed mother. The mother was referred to Hickerson Electric by a reputable local construction firm. Hickerson was contracted to replace electrical outlets in the mother's house. They did a good job but left one outlet in an unsafe condition. Whenever a light switch was turned on, it would blow the circuit.

Hickerson sent two employees out on 4/23/05 to fix the problem. While one employee kept the son distracted in the basement, the other stole a 36in glass jar filled with almost a $1000 of silver dollars, gold dollars, and assorted coins and bills. The coins and bills were collected by the mother's recently deceased husband. He had been collecting them for well over 10 years. The coins had immense sentimental value to the mother.

Hickerson blew off the complaint by the mother saying she should file a police report.

The company appears to employ crooks -- not only crooks but sophisticated crooks. They used the electrical problem as an excuse to test all of the outlets in the house -- which appeared to be a way of casing the interior of the house. While one employee kept the son distracted downstairs as he worked on an outlet, the other employee went upstairs to "test an outlet" then came down and went to his van. The son didn't catch on until after they had left and he noticed the carpet indentation where the coin jar had stood.

Sure the mother can file a police report, and file a claim against the company's insurance...but that won't replace the over 10 years of coins that her deceased husband had collected. That is emotional and sentimental value that will be lost forever.

Company might have multiple addresses: 12514 Aden Road and 12518 Aden Road. Company President is Brian W Hickerson. Company VP is Alan S Hickerson.

Ironically, one of the employees involved was the Company President's son.

Physical description of the two employees involved:
1 - about 6ft, 180-190lbs, med build, shoulder length dirty blonde hair.
1 - about 6ft, 190lbs, medium build, crewcut short brown hair, white t-shirt, heavy pants.
