Ms Riviello states in her rebuttal that Laura has stolen 2 of her dogs. There is a police report to prove other wise. Are you saying the police are lying also? It appears that Ms Riviello has an harassment case against her as well from this person. Another problem I see with this is this in door protest in which $45 per person was charged and Ms Riviello claims 200 people showed up = $9,000.00 was collected by Ms Riviello. If you ask me this is a waiste of money that could have been better spent on the animals in need. I would like to know what she plans to do with this $9,000.00 if infact she is helping any animals with it. If you ask me her explanations are far from comforting to say the least. Even her work history and schooling dont add up she would have had to started working the moment she came out of the womb and worked 3 full time jobs the rest of her life up til now. I am sorry but I think you are only seeing what you want to see. I see a whole bunch of problems with Ms Riviello's explanation.

I am the victim of outrageous and slanderous attacks accusing me of aligning myself with Kate Riviello who is being accused of being a scammer and con artist. This report is filled with lies and accusations which are totally baseless.    

As the creator of No Kill Coalition, an animal advocacy page with 34,000 followers and who's mission is to help prevent the killing of innocent and homeless animals, I have never scammed or, participated in scamming activities ever.  

This is what's true. Kate Riviello is one of many administrators on the No Kill Coalition page who posts New York animal protest information. These posts are shared by myself, other administrators on the page as well as followers and friends.

• When the Authorities came to your house they did have ID so why would you not let them in?? In fact you told them to get off your property as well. One would think if you had nothing to hide you would in fact cooperate.

 First of all, this entire “ripoff report” is completely false. I have three sets of stalkers since I am at this point a well known animal rights activist in an extremely controversial area. (1) PETA (ANTI-NO-KILL) has come to my house and has tried to file fraudulent complaints against me and had one of their operatives “Mikey Earthling Feldman” make a video for youtube and ustream that I am a “scammer” of some kind. Mind you, this individual CAME OUT OF NO WHERE in 2012, I never met him and never saw him at a protest for the past 8 years and states that he is an activist. He had just started doing puppy mill protests. Then BAM, I’m a scammer, he posts out my fundrazrs on his page and uses the word scammer but nothing in my fundrazrs was ever fraudulent or scamming whatsoever (smallish type fundrazrs, never anything over $2,000, mostly $500 fundrazrs for specific rescue animals. Then there are KILL POUND INSIDERS that do not want me meddling in what they deem their affairs of killing cats and dogs and then the competition of another nonprofit in NYC, as well as that I know many dirty little secrets of this system that makes some of them uncomfortable. There are several of those types slandering me.

The third set of individuals are the most OBVIOUS in their blatant attempt to slander, defame, harass and stalk and this “ripoff report” sure is obvious to come from that particular camp. I believe this was written (and it states above “Laura”) by someone who stole two of my rescue dogs. There were three females involved who are perpetrating a slander campaign against me. My brief in court will be to have the dogs returned AND to have them arrested by the FBI for interstate collusion in stealing a dog in an organized fashion. This particular group of individuals also comprises former disgruntled banned members of my group. So to address the above, very simple, one thing at a time: 1) The credit judgment against me listed there is a credit card that I CHOSE NOT TO PAY. I do not agree with the charges and I also was not even served a subpoena to appear in court to explain this to the judge. NO FRAUD OR SCAMMING WHATSOEVER, just an unpaid little credit card that I refuse to pay since the charges were not mine. Next. 2) Like most red-blooded Americans, I have a payment plan to the IRS. Why this is relevant in any way is truly interesting and amusing. I am a self-employed business entrepreneur for over 20 years. If the IRS does not have any problem with me on a payment plan, then why would anyone else? Lol. Next. 3) Any little bits of money that have been collected on facebook (and truly the amounts have been extremely negligible MUST BE REPORTED TO THE IRS AS INCOME, that would be following the law. I HAVE NEVER EVER stated to anyone that I was a 501c3 and in fact I have always posted out that it was in the works and finally our 501c3 No Kill New York, Inc., is almost complete!!  A second is in the works as well.

4) I have been an INDEPENDENT RESCUER of dogs and cats since about 1992 in NY State completely legally. There is no registration with Dept of Ag, there is no license, it is simply considered a private citizen’s business to rescue dogs and cats. I have FILES ON EVERY ANIMAL I HAVE EVER RESCUED with a record of all expenses. 5) NO PERSON THAT HAS EVER DONATED TO ME AND MY RESCUE OR MY ACTIVIST ENDEAVORS has asked for proof of receipts or “audit” of my books ever! The only individuals who have demanded receipts from me have been STALKERS who have **never** contributed a dime to an animal that I rescued or a protest that I organized. If there is a person who gave a donation that is dissatisfied with anything I have ever done with the donation, I don’t know about them because they have not written to me or called me and my phone number has always been public. 6) As far as the personal attack on my lifestyle, this is just patently false – I am at LEAST 10 YEARS PAST MIDDLE AGE ;) Middle age for women is 40 and I am 51, so get that right stalker! 

7) Unemployed? I ran hospitals in supervisory and managerial positions for 20 years and then I have been self-employed for 20 years as a medical paralegal working for doctors and lawyers in the field of workers compensation and personal injury. Now I have no idea why this would also be pertinent except that this person is accusing me of living off donations!! That’s pretty funny actually lol, who has been giving me money to live on that I don’t know about!! When the real estate market crashed five years ago, I became full-time in animal rescue and activism living on my own and my family’s savings. Is that okay with everyone? Lol!! Oh and I attended Hunter College in NYC for four years majoring in religion at night while I worked at Cornell and NYU and THEN I attended University of Minnesota majoring in math and English on a work scholarship when I ran their test tube baby program doing my first press conferences at the age of 23. Okay? So no whereas I did not graduate, I certainly do have a college education. Okay? Lol! 8) “false promises of shutting down the NYC ACC and build a no kill shelter.” I have never promised anyone that I would “shut down” the NY ACC or “build a no-kill shelter.” This is a ridiculous lie that this person is making up off the top of their head. Every single solitary campaign that I have ever run in these past three years headlines the need to REPEAL 0655/059, that being a law that mandated no shelter be built in the Bronx and Queens. So that perhaps would have required reading comprehension on this individual’s part which apparently escapes them. Okay? Lol!!

9) I have been an active animal rights activist in NYC for approximately eight years with groups like NYC Animal Rights and Caring Activists Against Fur. My co-founder and I founded Hudson Valley Animal Rights Alliance which in Febuary of 2012 turned into New York Animal Rights Alliance America when we did our first protest for this campaign in Times Square. Although I started actively protesting in the streets about 8 years ago, I still was extremely active in my personal life for animals, as I said, rescuing actively since about 1992 and before that venturing out on Japanese veganism, i.e., macrobiotics, since age 27. So yes, I have much to say about being animal rights activist, I just have not put my autobiography together for people to examine to their hearts content!! Okay? !! lol!! 10) A claim of “working laws with councilman” – again no corroborating information or posting with this, not even sure what this hysterical lying obsessed stalker has in mind here but I will say at this juncture that I was a FULL TIME POLITICIAN FOR THREE YEARS in the little city that I live in, having run for office and campaigned twice with a Republican candidate as a Democrat. An amazing experience attending every committee meeting and Common Council meetings, meeting with the public and appearing in the newspaper almost weekly. I was responsible for one law here, the noise ordinance to be strengthened and enforced for a better quality of life for the citizens here. As far as animals, our group regularly influences legislation. We have almost 8,000 members and we regularly work with other groups to influence legislation. For instance in Waterbury Connecticut, we held a protest against the kill pound and almost overnight the pound was revolutionized to an entirely different entity, etc. Okay then? Next.

11) We scheduled a protest and rally right before Hurricane Sandy which was then postponed to February and then postponed to June, which was just held. This is really easy: ONLY THREE PEOPLE BOUGHT TICKETS before the February event, two of them were refunded upon request and another was thrilled to learn that a student would be sponsored to attend the June event. This tired lie is never corroborated with any individual that bought a ticket and did not receive their money back. h*o hum, next!! 12) THIS IS THE MOST DISTURBING LIE. (a) MY NEIGHBORS ****NEVER**** have complained about me regarding anything. I am an exemplary neighbor and we all get along perfect on my block. So this is total and complete garbage. Furthermore, it was confirmed by the ACO here that “Laura Smith” (the individual I’m suing for stealing two dogs from my rescue) contacted the ACO and submitted a false complaint to them. They arrived at my home and were refused entry and were informed that the animals in my house are fully vetted and the house is clean. Therefore they had no business being at my home. I informed them that the individual who lodged this complaint had MOTIVE TO HARASS ME AND WAS CERTIFIABLY MENTALLY DISABLED. Therefore it was dropped.

13) DEAD CATS IN MY FREEZER: Let’s put this to bed. A gypsy fortune teller from Scotland came to sing at my protest. I was informed by Homeland Security that she had no money to be here in this country when she arrived. They asked me if I would vouch for her and I said I would, even though I made it perfectly clear to her prior to arrival that I had no time to arrange for her lodging and meals. She apparently intended on freeloading and I was forced to spend $386 on her meals and lodging which she has to date refused to pay back. One afternoon when at my home, I asked her if she would help me bury two cats that I did not get to bury before the protest as the week prior they were euthanized at the vet. OF COURSE I HAVE THOSE VET RECORDS. When the two kitties were buried, the entire burial was filmed for a documentary on whether to bury or cremate. (The vet asks the question of whether you would like to bury or cremate, right? Usually I cremated but my friend has a beautiful 40 acres in the country and offered that I bury these cats there). We did not get to bury the cats as I had an emergency rescue to attend to. So that’s the story of the “dead cats in the freezer.” Okay? No, not three, not four, not five, TWO, again, the records of which will be posted in the documentary that is being produced on this topic. One cat was rescued from death row with sarcoma and crashing and one cat was 11 yrs old with kidney failure.

14) When PETA came to my house, this is what happened: A woman was standing on my porch knocking. When I looked out and did not recognize her and found her to look like a “street person” I was alarmed and felt she probably had the wrong house. I exited the back door to come to the front door outside and asked, “May I help you?” She came down the stairs and stated that she was interested in adopting a kitten. Now I could smell this lying sack of duty from a mile away, now lying to my face. I demanded ID. She stated that she did not have ID. Then she stated that she was from the ASPCA!! And that she was there to investigate animal cruelty!! I said, you better produce ID right now!! She said again that she had no idea. I think I gave her to the count of three to get off my property. Now I took her plate and the police interviewed her and she admitted that she was from PETA to the police department. I am absolutely certain at this point that a police complaint of HARASSMENT AND IMPERSONATION will be filed against PETA for this visit to my home. 15) PROTEST OF JUNE 22ND: New York Animal Rights Alliance America held a protest and rally at Five Star Hall in Long Island City, Queens, NY, where there is no animal shelter. The protest was 4-6 outside free and the rally was in an amazing beautiful hall from 6-11 for $45. No one was forced to come to this rally lol. The event was entirely filmed and the speeches by two politicians, members of the clergy, animal rights activists, doctors, veterinarians, vegans, and animal rescuers were flawless.

I cannot begin to say how proud I am of this event and I cannot wait for its release to be distributed to every New Yorker we can find that will watch it. We discussed the need for animal shelters in Queens and the Bronx and the abject failure of the current system where thousands of dogs and cats are tortured and murdered. In addition, my new 501c3, will be granting a $100 donation to everyone that SPONSORED OR ATTENDED for THEIR favorite organization. This is being done to exemplify what it means to help each other. We start at home. Okay? Pretty clear there? 16) What is preposterous and outrageous is that the individual that writes this “ripoff report” has no recognition for the fact that we will never ever RESCUE OURSELVES OUT OF THIS KILL POUND SYSTEM, it will require (a) MASSIVE PROTEST AND DEMONSTRATION, (b) LEGAL ACTION, and (c) POLITICAL ADVOCACY. We will never stop advocating for these dogs and cats until the system is revolutionized. So there was nothing fraudulent whatsoever regarding amazing event, this protest and rally of June 22, 2013. Nothing was done underhanded. No monies were wasted. When all the chips are down for this particular event, I will have spent out of my own funds approximately $15,000 not including the production of the short film and its distribution.

17) There are some screenshots there of PRIVATE MESSAGES between me and an individual that we had a personal dispute regarding funds that were exchanged between us. I publicly advised this individual that if they were dissatisfied with the outcome of our exchange that they should seek relief in a small claims court. 18) I believe the videos posted are of this “Mikey Earthling Feldman” who works for PETA as an admin on a 1,000 member site on Facebook and belongs to TWO ANTI-NO-KILL DISCUSSION GROUPS.

Please stay tuned for the numerous lawsuits that will be filed to vindicate me in every way. Oh and by the way, two stalkers by the names of Tabatha Correa and Barbara Stewart showed up to the protest of June 22nd to purposely attempt to ruin the protest by disrupting and upsetting the attendees. It was despicable behavior that at the end of the day was to their ruin in my groups’ mind and certainly proved to everyone present that indeed I have a terrible stalker problem with outrageous slander, libel, defamation, harassment and cyberstalking. I will never back down from these puny individuals. The animals need me and our group more than ever and we know we are doing something that no one else is doing – that is reaching out to the greater public right on streets of NYC to rise up against these atrocities so that we can have a MARCH ON CITY HALL IN 2014 that is meaningful. Onward!

 It with great sadness to inform you that Mrs. Sontag has also been reported together with Ms. Kathryn Riviello.

It has come to our knowledge that she was also requesting money via private messaging together with Ms. Riviello for the swindle operation crafted by Ms. Riviello which took place in Queens this past Saturday June 22nd.

We want to make the animal rescue community aware that Kathryn Riviello has taking in thousands of dollars for promises based on animal rescue that she has not kept. She has also asked of several personal loans from donors and now she doesn’t want to pay them back, one of the personal loans amounts to over four thousand dollars which she now refuses to honor.

There is an open animal cruelty investigation in progress in Port Jervis, NY Ms. Riviello’s hometown and she has also been reported to the IRS.

This isn’t the first time Ms. Riviello tries to pull off a sting campaign in order to raise funds for her personal use. Back in February she planned the same “paid protest” strategy but cancelled last minute and did not return people’s money although they requested it but instead got blocked from communication with her via social media.
