Bought 4 tires from this place a year ago.
Took car in for a very slow leak in the LF tire.
They came back and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the RF tire.
No the LF tire. Went back and said they couldn't find anything wrong with tire. So then why is it losing air!!!
Did not fix tire, charges included a 3.75 environmental fee, for what? They didn't do anything and $37.50 to tell us they couldn't find anything wrong with tire.
So $41.50 later the tire isn't fixed, I have to take it somewhere else.
They are either lazy, or incompetent. Add to this an outrageously high labor charge to not even fix the problem.
I will not take the car back for any type of repair, will not buy tires there. There are too many good, honest, competent shops and tire stores to have to put up with these clowns.

Hill Tire Centers response

AUTHOR: Ken Hill - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2011

The $37.50 charge was to reinstall the fan belt not to check the tire for a leak.

After being contacted by the customer I investigated the incident.

Customers spouse came into our store with a tire leak and also had a fan belt that had come off. Our service writer sent the work order to our shop with the RF tire leaking and to have to fix the fan belt. Service technician removed the tire from the vehicle and could not find a leak so he reported to service advisor who advised customer. This was the incorrect tire. I could not confirm if our service writer wrote the order with the wrong tire noted or not. This was irelevant other than it had taken a few minutes of the customers time because we then proceded to check the LF tire.

After a thorough inspection our tire technician could not locate a leak in the tire. I am not disputing that it did not have slow leak but this was an expierenced technician who could not locate the leak at that time. We did not charge the customer to check the tire.

We reinstalled the fan belt and charged the customer $37.50 plus a shop supply/environmental fee. Shop supply/environmental fees are charged by almost all auto repair facilities.

We have been in business for 43 years and provide quality products and service at a fair price. We are not perfect and when we do make a mistake we make every effort to make it right.
