I received a call from Mark Lungo, from HiProFile LLC. He said my resume was forwarded by a recruiter and it matched some profiles in their database. He set up an appointment to meet with Michael A. Manzo, Senior Vice President.

I met with Michael Manzo today, under the pretense that he was representing client companies on retainer. But his interview was all about me and how much I was worth. He said I was worth a lot more than I thought. After a lengthy interview, he disclosed that they collect up-front fees from their clients to weed out the "tire-kickers". He refused to disclose the fees, but insisted on setting up a second meeting.

He said that this second meeting was contingent on them "offering candidacy", which meant a 90% chance of getting a job through them at some TBD really high salary. He would cancel the meeting by noon tomorrow if they declined to accept me as a candidate.

At that point, I realized they were probably a scam, although my initial research on the net didn't pick up the report that has previously been filed about them. I was quickly ushered out the door after scheduling the second meeting.

I can only guess what fees they want, and what kinds of tactics they were planning to use on me the second time around. I've cancelled. I'm filing this report so that future job-seekers will have a greater likelihood of picking up an unfavorable report than their well-place bogus press releases and articles.

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I have resigned my position

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 04, 2006

I was a temporary employee assigned to HiProfile. I was there for approx 3 months. Since I have read these reports on this Firm, I have resigned my position. I feel that I was duped into believing this company is legitimate. I would appreciate my name and reputation being extricated from the real issue on what this company has done.
