All I can say is Hog Wild Outfiiters is a SCAM!!! Never before have I dealt with such an unprofessional hunting guide (if that is what you would call Jaquin Capelle). I'd call him a thief con artist!!! Short version... 4 of us each paid him 200$ in advanced. Which was odd.. Then he dropped us off in tree stands far away from each other. Left us for over 4 hrs and told us to be quiet and not to leave the tree stand till he returned. While there was gunfire going on all around me. ( Guess he didnt tell everyone else out there to be quiet) so after 4 hrs of not seeing one hog and getting bit by mosquitos along with 2 other friends he returned. Then we went to an open field. I guess? Seeing how it was pitch black and we had no lights.... No hogs there either... Might I add from the second we arrived he was RUDE and Short answered and talked down to us... VERY uncomfortable feeling.. So we went back to camp to skin the 1 HOG a friend got. When he finished my buddy who arrange the hunt asked him so do we get a refund or shall we reschedule.( a legit concern being every other hunter we spoke to agreed. NO HOG NO PAY!!!! ) He got very defensive and continued to belittle us and tell us we are not real hunters ( ???YA THINK SINCE WE PAID HIM TO TAKE US???) and that it was free range hunting no pig your loss. The whole time waving a razor sharp knife in our faces. Demanding the 25$ fee for skinning the hog and cursing continuosly at us.. We felt very threatened and told us " You see how fast I gutted that pig? I will gut you all like F-ING PIGS!!! And ran us off the property.... VERY BAD BUSINESS!!! This guy is a danger to society and his clients..... Be warned this all true facts. Don't want it to happen to anyone else.. He has false advertisements...site says 95% success that is BS!!!!!

Great Experiences with Hog Wild Outfitters

AUTHOR: Bill - (United States of America)

POSTED: Sunday, January 20, 2013

I have hunted with Joaquin eight times and had nothing short of a great experience every hunt. I typically hunt afternoons because it works out better that way with my schedule. Our afternoon starts about 4 hours before sundown with a range session to make sure all guns are working properly and that each hunter is familiar, confident and capable of safe use of their weapon. During this time Joaquin often offers tips on ammunition, equipment modification and valuable advice on successful shooting.

Next we gather our items and head out in the buggy where Joaquin drops each of us off at the tree stands he feels offer the best opportunity for harvesting hogs. We typically sit until dark and in most cases successfully harvest a hog during that time period. On the evenings where we don't see hogs or miss a shot, Joaquin has taken us out to spot & stalk in hopes of finding the hogs in areas he sees sign or feeding.

Out of my eight hunts with Joaquin I have harvested a hog six times. However, I have never been on a hunt where my whole group was skunked. These are fantastic results for free range hog hunting in South Florida and it speaks volumes to the professionalism and quality research he brings to the table. Joaquin has always been patient regardless of the experience level and the friends/family that have enjoyed his hunts with me have always been impressed. I highly recommend Joaquin for beginners and experienced hunters that appreciate the sport and enjoy learning from tips to improve their experiences going forward.

My experience

AUTHOR: Chris - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 18, 2013

I am an experienced hunter who has been hunting for over 35 years and used the services of more than a dozen guides over the last decade. My family and I have been hunting with Hog Wild Outfitters and, Joaquin Capelle specifically, for the last 5 years. My experience is based on over 20 hunts with Joaquin over that span of time.

Joaquin is a true professional in the outfitting business. He takes utmost care to provide a very comfortable environment with a focus on safety. Every time I have hunted with him he has had us arrive a half hour early so we can shoot our rifles in front of him to make sure they are sighted in and that all equipment is safe as well as functional. He then reviews the various locations available on his property and discusses the activity in each and every location as he makes suggestions and puts together a plan for the hunt.

Joaquin has coached and guided 2 of my young sons to their first kills and has done so in a very professional and comfortable manner. When we hunt together my sons fight it out to see "who gets to hunt with Joaquin". If you are looking for a Father/Son hunt then I can't recommend him highly enough. My children are better hunters today because of Joaquin.

Joaquin is a true gentleman and loves hunting to his core which you will discover in your first few minutes with him. I always look forward to hearing about his latest hunts whether in Argentina, Spain, Kansas or Okeechobee. I can't speak to the experience of others however I can assure you I have spent so many hours afield with Joaquin that I am comfortable saying that he is among the finest guides you can choose to hunt with in all of South Florida and possibly the country. If you are looking for a "guaranteed" hunt then look elsewhere as Joaquin is a hunter's hunter and he revels in the challenge of truly hunting. If you are looking for first class treatment by a true professional and you enjoy the challenge of a real hunt, then look nowhere else but Hog Wild Outfitters and Joaquin Capelle.

Hog Wild Outfitters. Joaquin Capelle

AUTHOR: Joaquin Capelle. Hog wild outfitter - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, January 18, 2013

This report is outrageously slanderous and fabricated.  But for the lies and slander of my reputation, the surrealness of this report is laughable. Hog Wild Outfitters has been in business since 2007.  I have been a professional hunting guide for over 15 years, and have guided hunters throughout many states in the United States, and in Argentina and Spain.  In all my years and guiding hundreds of clients, I have never been subjected to a report or complaints like this.  Please feel free to contact me and I will provide contact information for clients who will assure you of my integrity and expertise and of the success of their hunts.

Yes, I do feel that I have had very high success ratios on my guided hunts. My goal has always been to offer quality free range hunts for true hunters to enjoy the outdoors and experience what hunting is all about.  I have never guaranteed a "kill" in any of my hunts nor have I ever had a "no kill, no pay" policy.  There is a reason why the sport I cherish and respect is called "hunting".  There are no guarantees.  As every true hunter knows, hunts can be affected by many factors, such as moon phases, availability and condition of food sources, change in feeding habits, wind, weather, hunter scent, hunter movement and hunter error.

Personally, I prefer hunters who respect the sport and enjoy the overall hunting experience regardless of a harvest.  The harvest is the icing on the cake as far as I am concerned.  I was very skeptical when this group of "hunters" showed up.  They had 2 AK47 assault-type weapons, 1 AR assault-type rifle and 1 bolt action hunting rifle that was missing a firing pin and was disabled.  They signed up for an evening hunt only, which is not typical.  Typically, my hunters hunt both the morning and the evening, affording them a better opportunity for a harvest.  During shooting practice one of the "hunters" swung his loaded AK47 right in front of me at 5 feet.

Loaded with no safety engaged!  So yes, I politely gave them some safety rules. As we went to the tree stands they were talking loudly and making all kinds of noises.  Not what experienced hunters would do.  I put the "hunters" in tree stands at about 4:00 p.m. and they hunted until dark, about 6:00 p.m. for an approximate period of 2 hours, which every hunter knows is not that long of a time to sit a tree stand.  One of the "hunters" shot a hog and saw a number of other hogs.  When I picked up the "hunters", at about 6:00 p.m., we went on a stalk and 1 of the "hunters" missed a trophy hog from about 50 yards.

Yes, these "hunters" were put in tree stands for approximately 2 hours and were requested not to leave the stands until I returned.  Yes, it does make sense to stay quiet while you are in your stand.  Yes, you typically do encounter mosquitoes while hunting in Florida.  Yes, I refused to give them a refund because there was no reason for me to give them a refund and I did not want to reschedule a hunt with that group of hunters.  Yes, I was using a sharp knife when I was cleaning the hog.  The rest of this report is filled with lies and fabrications.
