I've had this card for 6 years. Starting limit was $3,000. In the past 2 years they have dropped my limit 2 times. I get an email 3 days ago that my credit has been lowered to $1,000. I have never been late or over my limit in the 6 years I’ve had this card. There reason is not based on my relationship with my Home Depot account but with my overall credit file. Not sure why they base it on that when I have 799 credit score and have never had any other card company do this to me. Home Depot needs to drop Citibank as there Card Company. The funny thing about this is I have a Citibank card with $6,000 credit line and have never had this happen with their card but only with my Home Depot. I’ve had it with Home Depot and Citibank. I have a $700 balance on Home Depot and will pay it off and cancel it along with my Citibank card and my business will go to LOWES and I REFUSED TO SHOP AT HOME DEPOT EVER AGAIN.

Oh you poor baby!! YOU are whining that THEY wont let you spend more money!! Listen to yourself!! YOU are whining that YOU dont get to spend as much of THIER money as YOU would like. I mean REALLY!!! How self entitled are YOU?? THEY drop your credit limit because YOU are not using that much. Its NOT a personal attack or a commentary on YOU. YOU are taking personally a financial choice THEy have made because YOU are NOT spending 3k. Quit your whining because it REALLy doesnt look good on you. It makes YOU sound like a spoiled child who isnt getting thier way. Also I wouldnt just pay off and cancel. THAT can affect your credit score as mich as a debt will.

Go ahead and cancel and shop at Lowes. What are YOU going to do when THEY do the EXACT same thing to you? Are YOU going to take it all personally again?? Face reality! THIS has ZERO to do with YOU!! Its a financial choice that has been made to drop thier carried debt. YOU were NOT the only one effected. Maybe instead of acting like a child, YOU can pick up the phone and CALL THEM!! THEY can give YOU a better answer. But WHY do the ADULT thing when YOU can just take it all personally. I mean WHERE is YOUR COMMON SENSE???? We are heading to christmas. Which means people are going to spend money THEY DONT HAVE!!! Which means that if Home Depot doesnt want a MASSIVE after christmas debt, then they have to cut the available credit limits because SOME PEOPLE will spend to thier limit and DEFAULT!!! Home Depot is ONLY trying to protect itself from the scammer and thieves that call themselves CUSTOMERS!!!
