RIPOFF, HOME DEPOT GAVE BID TO DO A JOB AT HOME AND THEN AFTER THEY TORE UP THE HOUSE, CARPET OUT, ETC. AND STARTED THE WORK, SAID THEY CAN'T FINISH BECAUSE THEY WANT MORE MONEY TO FINISH THE JOB EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE ALREADY PAID. THEY SAID THEY FORGOT TO ADD ENOUGH SUPPLIES TO THE BID TO COMPLETE THE SECOUND ROOM. WE HIRED THEM TO DO THE WORK ACCORDING TO THE BID THAT THEY GAVE US.

WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED WILL THAT BE IT, FOR EVERYTHING, BOTH ROOMS, THEY ANSWERED "YES, JUST COME TO STORE AND PAY" WE DID. THEY SENT PEOPLE OVER TO START WORK THAT COULDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH, OR READ THE WORK PLAN. STARTED ONE ROOM AND THEN SAID WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MATERIAL FOR THE SECOND ROOM WE ARE HERE TO DO. AFTER CONTACTING MANAGER, THEY WANTED MORE MONEY FROM US, HE HAD MIS-BID. WHICH IS NOT OUR FAULT. IT HAS PUT US IN A BIND, BECAUSE THEY KNOW, YOU ARE STUCK WHEN THEY HAVE TORE EVERYTHING UP AND WANT MORE MONEY TO COMPLETE THE JOB. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNETHICAL. THE MANAGER DID NOT CARE, SAID OH WELL, BRING MORE MONEY OR WE DON'T FINISH! HE WOULD NOT HONOR HIS ORIGINAL BID.

Pat, thanks for the heads up. I'm not that far away from you and I was very close to signing a deal with a different Home Depot. I sure won't be doing that. If they aren't going to take care of one customer, they probably won't take care of the others. Again, thanks for letting us know. Their unfair business practice just cost them a job. It won't kill 'em, but I will be telling my friends how they treat customers.
