Home Depot ripoff try to refuse good condition returned items West Hartford Connecticut

This dates back 2 months ago but I just found this site, so I report.

I made a home improvement, and bought alot from HomeDepot. The policy said we can return in any store. Everytime I bought, I asked if the item is returnable. I only buy what is returnable, because I am not sure if it fit my house.

When I came to this home depot, a young guy just tried hard to deny my returns. I have to discuss with him on every single item. Most of them are still in original packing, so he can not deny. Then he said my pain was frozen. ok that I accepted and agreed to bring home. Then the ceiling diffuser was not on my reciept. Ok, I agreed to take store credit. The he said it was open and unreturnable. Why? Because it is plumbing item. Hmm, the plastic diffuser in perfect condition except I open and discovered I bought the wrong size- and was not returnable!!

I asked to talk to branch manager. All in a sudden, a man without name bag, without saying a word, came to my back with a small knife and started to mark my pain (which obviously mine because I paid for it and not returned it). I discovered and asked, and he stopped. Then, I was told that was the branch manager.

What kind of attitude of a branch manager?!! Why he used a knife to mark my pain?!! why did he do that like a thieft? And does not explain any of my questions about the diffuser!!

the next day, I returned the diffuser at other store in Hartford. No problem at all. Now I never buy anything from the West Hartford store.
